I always see questions about young parents, but none about older parents. I would like to know why do a lot of couples wait until they are in their 30's or 40'2 to have children? I had my children very early. I had my first child at 18 and my second at 19. No welfare or teen mommy comments please, because I'm not the typicial ex-teen mom. So, why do you wait if you waited to have children?

I'd prefer no references to books, just your personal tips from experience, but if you have to reference child-rearing manuals, that's fine too. Thanks.

I just wanted to know because I don't plan on doing so unless I cook them at home which isnt often that I do. I've read so much that its the most popular finger food for toddlers. My cousin is already stuffing her baby with them and she is only 10 months....whole pot pies and top ramen too.

I'v had 3 early miscarriages. I'm now for the first time entering my second trimester and my doctor says everything is fine. I'm 38 and this is my first baby. This is going to be the only baby that I ever have because I am too old and pregnancy is too hard on my body. I am positive that I cannot deal with a baby with a disease that will kill him or her within hours or months after he is born. I am not 100% sure that I could deal with a baby who had downs syndrome either, mostly because I would be 39 years older than him, and when I die, I would have to know that my child would probably have to be institutionalized which to me is a horrible thought. Amniocentesis increases the risk of miscarriage to 1 in 250 women. What do you think I should do?

How long after stopping the depo shot should it take to become pregnant. I have taken 3 rounds of depo ( 9 months) & I am due for another Sept. 16th.. I would like to try to get pregnant in October. I have seen alot of people say it takes a year or more.. but that is generally when you have been on it for awhile... What do you think?

I am 35 weeks pregnant. I went to the hopital on Wednesday because I was having contraction 5 mins apart consecutively. I had not dialated yet so they gave demerol and albuteral. They kept me over night until the contraction had stopped. Well, about 5 hours after they sent me home I started have contraction 5 mins apart so I went back to the hospital. This time I was dialated 1 cm. But they still gave me the demerol and albuterol to stop the contraction. I am just so tired and I am wondering if 35 weeks is too early to have my baby? I just want my baby to be healthy!!

My daughter just started Kindergarten and there is a boy that sits by her that is constantly trying to "kiss" her. He just keeps blowing her kisses and disrupts her while she is coloring. She tells him to stop, but he doesn't. I can already tell he may be a trouble maker, because on the bus he already has to sit by himself because he was bothering people. I think he lives in my neighborhood. Do I tell the teacher to move her or just let it go? I know i can't solve all her problems, but this is my baby and I don't want her first experience with school to be poor. what should I do?

My son is 18 months and I have a daughter who is 3. My daughter is potty trained. My son wants to sit on the potty only with his diaper on. If I should take the diaper off he will not sit on. Is he just to young for me to start potty training or should I just let him sit on the potty with the diaper on. Is he just not ready to be potty trained or is he?

I was 9 weeks and i started spotting brown blood but only enough to wipe wouldnt get in my panties or anything. I had sex teo days later and the blood turned red had really sharp cramps, went to the ER and when i went to use the restroom when i went to clean myself it was a big blood clot the size of a lemon so i thought okay i did have a miscarriage. Then i seen the OBGYN and he said that i was had a miscarriage , they did the ultrasound didnt see or hear anything, they said i was fine because everything had passed. Today i gets a phone call and the Dr. tells me that the specimen which was collected it didnt contain any particoles of the fetus and that the fetus maybe in the fallopian tube . Now im real scared that have never happened to me before, and this is my first pregnancy.

My last period was august 1st. We had sex aug. 13-17. My next period is due the 30th. They always come on time, today I have very very light spotting and no cramps. I have been nauseous the past week or so, my breasts are killing me, and I feel generally ran down. I know it's early to test, but this isn't normal of my period. I don't get sore breats, and I always have BAD cramps. This just doens't feel normal to me. What do you think?

I am 14 weeks along. My breasts are sore. I massage them for comfort. A few days ago, when I was doing so, a clear liquid began seeping from 4 or 5 what seemed like holes in my nipple. And any time I squeeze my breast it continues. I have yet to have an ultrasound. My doctor won't do one before 18 weeks. Is it possible that I'm further along than she thinks or is this common in early pregnancy?

My wife isn't pregnant yet, but we are trying soon.

When she does get pregnant, we plan to tell my family after 3-4 months.

Some people told me that a first time grandmother should be told all by herself and not with other people.

What do you think?

I wanted to tell my mother by giving her a card to open in front of everyone.

My entire family gathers once a month and I thought it would be special for everyone to celebrate the news together.
