I recommend getting a copy of "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It really explains how your fertility works! It also helps you figure out when (or if!) your body is ovulating so you can maximize your chances of pregnancy, or avoid pregnancy if that is your wish.

I am not affiliated in any way, I just think this is a good book to learn about your body and your female cycle.

Since you have to have an egg drop for it to be fertilized, I highly doubt it. But all girls are different. they say you ovulate 14 days before the beginning of your period (1 week after you end your period) but you can actually ovulate at any time. There's really no set schedule for everyone. so unless you are using an ovulation kit, I doubt you'll know when that time is.

No, but you can ovulate off schedule and sperm can live inside the body for a little while until you do ovulate... so be careful if you're thinking of using the rhythm method.

I think you can, I know everybody just said no but ask google.com and a whole bunch of links will come up. A friend had gotten pregnant the day befor her period and she surely was not ovulating then as she had a regular cycle.. so look into it.

No - ovulation is when you release your egg. If you are not releasing an egg, then there is nothing for the sperm to fertilize.
