after you have had a miscarriage? I miscarried at 16 weeks 5 weeks ago and am wanting to know when I can expect to not see a positive reading on a pregnancy stick. Thanks!

It is important for me to see a negative so that I know my body had gotten rid of all the hormones and that is almost time to try again. I am not going to try again until I know my body is ready for it.

Sorry for your loss.

Usually take about 6 weeks for all the hormones to leave your system.

Sometimes you can see a positive reading when you're not even pregnant. It's called a "false positive". Women sometimes have small amounts of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, when they're not even pregnant. Why is it so important for you to see a negative reading?

okay i rcommend waiting at least 6 months. did you have a d&c? Because you might have needed one being that far along. Yes, your body needs to recuperate. I would wait at least 6 months. Good luck!

you should not still be having positive pregnancy tests. If you are you may not have expelled the fetus or you may have an ectopic pregnancy. Call your doctor ASAP
