Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 August 2006

I do not have health insurence, and my husband is part time national guard, so I'm limited to what financial assistance I can receive from the government. I can't find a pre-natal doctor to even see me and schedule an appointment. I'm confused, and lee county in florida is a horrible place to find a doctor, who doesnt want to abort the pregnancy. Does anyone know something I don't know about finding a prenatal doctor?
Please help.

My midwife told me it would help! If it was so risky, why would she telll me this? I just wanted to hear some postive castor oil stories, and no one here has one!! Should I not listen to her?

I have a 8year old and a 7 year old that go to the same school. They sit with her on the bus and look after her, but that does not seem to work. She says she wants to stay home with me. We never had this problem when she went to pre-k. I need help!!!!!!!!!!

I had unprotected sex wit my boyfriend and he has finished inside me many-a-times, i had all the signs of pregnancy, morning sickness tender chest. but i got my period could i still be pregnant and if not how can i get pergnant!!!!????

I am 6 months pregnant and have a hernia behind my belly button... My baby rotated yesterday and is pressed up against my belly and it is causing me excruciating pain where the hernia is..
Any advice on things I can do for the pain? Is there something I can do to get him to move again so he is not pressed right up against it?
Please don't tell me to "see my doctor".. as I already have... I am looking to hear from people who have had a similar issue.

Its been 4 years since I last did this and need a little help. I am 10 weeks and 1 day into my 2nd pregnancy. I had an u/s done at 6 weeks because that is when my last doctor like to check on everything. He told me my next one would would be at 18 weeks and we would check the sex of the baby. But I changed doctors right after my first appointment. I saw my new doctor on Monday and he says they don't do a first u/s until 12 weeks and scheduled me for one on 9/13. He said they may or may not need to do another one after that it just depends. In everything that I have read it says that the baby's sex organ sare moving at this stage to the correct place for boys and girls. If they do an u/s at 12 weeks what are the chances we will know the sex of the baby then? 4 years ago I had one done somewhere between 16 and 18 weeks and knew it was a boy. 12 weeks just seems early to me and I really want to know what I am having. I don't like surprises.

She just got some new teeth and some people say that she'll stop when she gets used to them...but I can't stand it!! I've given her chew toys, pop sicles and anything I could think of for her to chew on and that helps a little but she loses interest fast. What do you suggest I do?

do breasts become sore when they grow? ever since my breasts felt sore for almost two weeks, it suddenly stopped. however, my breasts did enlarge abit and had remained like that until now. are the enlarged breasts due to over stimulation of nipples or pregnancy? i had sex three weeks before my period. i usually have irreguar light periods, so after my period i took a prenancy test which came out negative, but is there still a possilbility that i'm pregnant? Because i'm just going crazy trying to know why my boobs suddenly became larger.. Thanks for all your help!

A previous poster asked if it was ok to send their child to school with long pants and a SHORT sleeved shirt if the temperature was over 45 degrees.
And most people responded YES, it is ok.

I work in a school, and I will tell you, check your school's policy. Our policy is that they need a jacket or sweatshirt if it is under 60 degrees.

45 degrees is too cold.

What do you think?
