What did you love/hate about being pregnant? Is there anything to convince someone that it's worth it?

For me the best thing about being pregnant was feeling my baby move.
I would have to say that the worst part was that I was so hot during the summer and I was retaining water like the Hover Dam!

There are so many things that were so wonderful about being pregnant. I think the #1 would be watching the baby do "flips" when I got further along, around 6-7 months. That was so cool. The worst thing was puking but that didn't last very long. I only got morning sickness 3 times with my second son.

There really isn't anything that makes the pregnancy itself worth it. Why do you think sex is so much fun? (No woman would ever get pregnant otherwise!)

Ok, kidding aside, there are a lot more down in the pregnancy experience than there are ups- "morning" sickness, back pain, swelling, constipation, weight gain...you get the idea.

But there are a few things to like about it, too. Especially if you really commit to taking care of yourself. You get a lot more rest, you're (usually) eating better. Childbirth classes are great- I got to sit back and relax all day and all I had to do was breath and get a massage from my fiancee. :) Also- feeling that baby wiggle around is so cool!

The best thing about being pregnant is just the experience of feeling a life grow inside of you...oh and your hair goes really thick, nails grow long and hard and your eyes glow white. The worse thing is the days just before giving birth, the baby is too big so it's really uncomfortable and you've pretty much had enough of being pregnant and then suddenly the joy of pregnancy is gone and just before you are about to give birth, you suddenly realize that THIS BABY HAS TO COME OUT OF YOU...a thought you've managed to block all these months and you become a little frightened...but once labour sets in the fear is gone as you just want it out, out, OUT.

I enjoyed my pregnancy because there was a link between my baby and I that no one could feel, the little movements I felt was only for me, not even the father can feel so close, it was like a conversation done by the two of us, it was a great feeling, when the baby was out I felt that everybody is sharing the baby with me, truly amazing, and I was able to eat anytime this too was great.
But the problem comes later when you try to lose all the weight, but all in all pregnancy was very nice and I enjoyed it even when I was nine months and really heavy,

If you need convincing, you're better off not having kids. Not to be rude, but just being honest. There are so many unwanted children out there and I'd hate to think of more coming in.

Bad things: nausea, back pain last few months, hurting breasts, pee when you sneeze in later months, expenses.

Good things: #1 God's way of us redeeming ourselves (b/c of Eve, in the Bible) and its what we're made for, it is absolutely the most enjoyable and amazing miracle to experience, you'll never feel more like a woman, the precious gift of a child you get to raise and love like no one else EVER will and that baby will love you like no one else EVER will, once you see that angel face ALL the pain is gone and was well worth every second, the smell and touch of a baby, baby showers, you have a big belly for a few months, you find new stuff you like thanks to cravings, you have bigger boobs, tiny laundry, I could go on for the rest of my life with the positives.

Bad things about pregnancy:

Morning sickness
Back pain
Headaches
Getting blood drawn (at least I hated it)
Not able to get around as well (I can't even shave my own legs anymore!)
Can't travel in 3rd trimester
Labor

Good things about pregnancy:

Bringing a new life into the world
Feeling the baby kick for the first time (actually anytime is such a joy!)
Knowing they will love you
Feeling a sense of accomplishment (you made this child!)
You get a lot of free stuff from baby showers ;)
Just knowing I am making a life inside me in indescribable!!! It is one of the best feelings in the world that only a mother can know!

I loved being pregnant, Both of my pregnancys were great, the only thing I hated was I had to have c-sections with both. My first was breech and my second was too big(91/2 lbs). Being pregnant is something that you cannot hate.

Best-Being a mother is the most wonderful experience ever. During pregnancy my hair and nails looked great.

Worst--Bed rest when I went into pre-term labor. Felt very uncomfortable. Had a high risk pregnancy. Very scary.

cant say there was a best thing... I know alot of people enjoy the attention they get while being pregnant.. but this I feel is wrong.. and sadly the reason why so many teens get pregnant..

the worst thing was the delivery - which for me was NASTY...

the question remains "is it worth it?"

well I had my tubes tied shortly after - I didnt want to risk it again, partly because of the main but mainly because as an intelligent human I look at the world and can see the human race is in no short supply - we are destroying our planet by our vast numbers... we have exceeded the reccomended population level which was set at 5 BILLION, we are currently at over 6.5 Billion and you can see the problems its causing globally - especially with weather patterns and farm land destruction to make cities... where will it end???
