She will go when asked but will not do it willingly. I have tried several times to put her in regular underwear but she keeps on peeing and just goes in her pull up as well.... We are consistint and reward her with stickers but she doesnt seem to catch on .. any suggestions or should we just wait longer,, i have been doing this for about six months already..

My 1st was over 3 when she finally used the bathroom by herself. We found out something that she saw and really wanted to get so we made her potty in the toilet for 5 days straight with 0 accidents. After we reminded her every day, she finally did it. It saved us money on training pants and rewarded her at the same time.

Maybe lay off for a while. Maybe the pressure of it is too much. Give it a rest for a week-maybe two. Then go at it again, but don't use "pull ups". Just get her up in the morning, put her in her little girl undies, and tell her what the deal is. When she goes in her pants, don't make a big deal out of it. Also, when YOU go potty, take her. My daughter was reluctant to even try until I got her some toys just for playing with in the bathroom. Her potty chair is situated so that her keens are touching mine when we are both going. We play games, and read and color. Make it fun for her. I even went so far as to tape up paper on the walls so she could doodle while she did her business.

Try to make it as low stress as possible for her AND for you! If you are stressed over it, it's more pressure for her. Lighten up!

I have 3 kids, oldest 5 and youngest 2 1/2. My 2 yr old just trained herself......in a day.......AFTER WE HAD BEEN TRYING FOR 3 MONTHS!!!!!! Whoever said "let her be and she'll figure it out" was right!! To that end, our eldest child wasn't trained till she was 3 1/2. That's right, 3 kids in diaper for 6 months.....it was an assembly line!! Then, after being completely trained and going through JK, she stopped going in the toilet. We've tried everything, but she is often wet. Moral of the story: They get it when they get it. You're gonna do fine, and so is she!!!!!

my 2 year old had some issues about going into the bathroom until I began reading to her on the pot... now she goes just for a story ( don't get me wrong I still read to her outside the bathroom) but she knows she will get a story in the bathroom. I also quit buying diapers .... and that does include pull ups. If she wets them I make her take them off and put them in the laundry the cause and effect of that is if you make a mess.. you have to clean it up... if she has a stool in her pants I do clean up the waste but she still has to put them in the laundry... so far this has worked the best....

I am a mum of 2 my eldest is 3 years . I put potties all around the house to remind her to go and that way she was not running for the toilet when it was too late i had alot of mess to clean up and alot alot of grin and bear it times so keep your chin up she will catch on and i would put her in ordinary underwear because that way maybe she will learn when she needs to go - Good Luck

skip the pull ups, children potty train best when they have nothing on their bottoms. Take a three day week end and commit to potty training her. You will only be cleaning messes up for the first day.

Some children just do not realize when they have the need to go. There are the new pull ups that help with that...

Otherwise, I would just be patient. If you get frustrated with her, it will make it even hard to get her to go.

Don't buy anymore diapers and just put underwear on her she'll learn she won't like walking around in wet pants.
