Pregnancy & Parenting - 16 August 2006

When my sister comes over its usually after I have put my 4 month old to bed. Instead of her coming into my room to just peak at her she always picks her up therefore waking her then Im the one with a wide eyed baby that want to stay up for a few hours, because she always gives her back to me when she starts to fuss, when its my time to have alone time.

I am about 4.5 weeks pregnant. I took a blood test on Monday and my HCG level was 24 which is apparently low. I am suppose to take another blood test tomorrow so the Dr can compare the #'s. Based on this and a little mix up when speaking to the nurse, I am all alarmed. I took a home PG test today and the pregnant indicator was so light it was barely visible...about 30 minutes ago, I started bleeding. I don't have cramps or anything but I do feel some pressure like discomfort in my stomach and lower back, similar to the feeling you get when you may be getting your period. I already called the doctor who is closing soon and they want me to come in tomorrow morning. This is not a doctor I have ever seen but an oncall doctor so I don't know them or feel comfortable with my few interactions so far. Has anyone had an experience similiar to this? Is my preg likely to fail? The bleeding is a bright red, about the amount of a nose bleed, no clots or mucas (yet) but SCARED!!

I am reading that woman have seen doctor's b/c they do not ovulate. Therefore they are put on medication. My question is, when a woman does not ovulate, does she get her monthly period? How would one know if she doesn't ovulate?

I am just trying to be educated...TTC for 4 months

These pull-ups claim to feel cold when your little one wets them, aiding in their desire to get them changed.

As my son is currently a bit stubborn about his potty training (ahem) I tried them out-no go. I asked him in the midst of changing a rather wet diaper if he had felt anything different, even the slighest thing, and he looked at me as if I had lost my mind. Just wondering if anyone else had tried them, and if they had worked.
Or as I am now guessing, just another inventive way to get us to try something new, new, new.

Back to the drawing board...paitence, paitence,paitence!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and has a little lisp. Her tongue slips when she pronounces S sounds so they're more like TH sounds. I had this problem as a kid and took speech classes for it. Should I see if she grows out of it or wait until she's in school to address it? She talks quite a bit and even strangers can comprehend her, so it's not a huge handicap.

She stated she wants children very badly but that her cervix is not alligned correctly (she explained it much more graphically than that, but most women can get the picture...). Does that mean she can't have kids? She thinks she may be able to get pregnant but because her cervix is not alligned and her doctor had a very hard time finding it???

so happy. I love children my husband was very happy also. Four days later I miscarried my baby. My question is how long do you feel this empty and sad? I am not ignoring my girls they get alot of attenttion. But I just dont like feeling so damn sad. Please dont tell me other people can not even have children, I feel bad for them. I realize that each child is different but, can you all tell me what to expect from a two-month old as far as temperment goes? How much do they sleep at night, generally? Do they still sleep a lot during the day? And anything else that you think might be helpful..

The reason I ask is that my wife and I will be taking our son on his first trip in September and I was just curious what to expect..

I just ovulated between the days of the 12th and today.. that is what the ovulation calculator said. now today. I have been getting PMS symptoms, like just really tired and cramping. and I just experienced un bearing cramps.. just a really bad cramp that only lasted a couple of seconds.. any idea what this might be?? I never experienced this beffore.
