This really depends on your how your child is now because it will not change a lot. My daughter when she came home, slept all the way through the night when she was 4 days old and has continued that since and she is now 3 months old. They say whatever sleeping habit they form in the begining or their life is what they will continue for a while. This is quite true for my because my son is the oppposite. He didn't sleep through the night till he was about 8 months and still wakes up once in a while in the middle of the night at 2 1/2 years. If you do go on a plane make sure you bring a nuk with you as it will help with the popping of their ears.

A two month old generally is still on its normal pattern of eating every 3-4 hours and sleeping most of the time. Other than the feeding issue they are supper easy to travel with. If you are driving and your wife is nursing that is the only inconvenience because you have to stop, take the baby out of the car seat and wait however long the baby nurses for. If you are bottle feeding it is still a bit of an inconvenience because you can feed in the car seat but you have to take the baby out to burp it. Other than that the baby will probably sleep the whole way. If you are flying than no problem. It is a piece of cake. Wait till the baby is like 8 months old and wants to get up and crawl everywhere then it isn't easy. Take all the trips now while it is simple and they aren't screaming at you to get out of there car seats. Have fun!

At 2 months old your baby will still be eating every 3 hours but it is possible to develop a pattern where your baby will skip a feeding. What you do is never let the baby skip even feeding during the day...for her 3 am feeding I give her an extra ounce and she always sleeps until almost 9. My daughter is 2 months old now, she stillsleeps during the day, but when she is awake she really needs to interact she can hold her head up well now and she prefers to be held in a way so she can see everything.

as a mum of 4 i can honestly tell you they all differ so much , not many 2 month babies sleep all night with out waking for a feed , i had one that would sleep all night at 3 months and another that still used to wake up during the night till she was 6 !!!
your baby will still want lots of day time naps for a while yet .
i took my youngest on her first trip at 3 months and she was fine you just have to work around them and be prepared !
relax and enjoy your trip with your son you will be just fine

Ahh kids 2 months old its really hard to tell at that age they still need to eat about every 4 hours so its really hard to thingkabout getting any good sleep but I have found some ways that really help if your breast feeding it not like you have to go to the kitchen to make the bottles so... but if your not I put a mini fridge in my room with fresh bottles and then a bottle warmer on my night stand that helped me from being fully awake but the baby will start sleeping better around 4 months, The baby might spit up alot wash how much you feed them they should still be around 4 oz still and at this age you really don't have to worry about spoiling them ether so pick them up as much as they need you too and/or as much as you need too but about 4 months if there happy to play by themselves encourage that. If they just seem to cry all the time there are some great Colic tabs at the health food store that really helps them with that ....

At two months babies are still eating at least every two hours. if the baby has been waking up at night all along then you can also expect it to continue for a few months. If the trip is longer than two hours then you might want to schedule somewhere to stop for a feeding and changing.

They sleep when they are sleepy, and eat when they are hungry. If you're taking him on a plane, it will be VERY difficult to change the diapers... and the smell will fill the plane. AND, if little guy decides that the pressure in the cabin hurts his ears, he WILL cry the whole time and everyone in the plane will want to yell at you. My advice? Let grandma take care of him, and pay her cash money.

they do sleep alot man, you should be cool as long as your car/truck/van has a/c. It might take a little extra time to get to your destination but you'll be fine.just have your wife chill with her in the back seat ya know.?
