She stated she wants children very badly but that her cervix is not alligned correctly (she explained it much more graphically than that, but most women can get the picture...). Does that mean she can't have kids? She thinks she may be able to get pregnant but because her cervix is not alligned and her doctor had a very hard time finding it???

Life can still find a way.

With good and accurate awareness of when she is fertile your friend and her husband have a good chance of acheiving pregnancy, it might just take a little longer. There are some tips to help couples in this situation:

#1) Knee/chest exercise helps to bring the uterus forward except in cases where adhesions have formed holding the uterus in a retro position. #2)Intercourse with the woman's backside elevated on a cushion as this helps the cervical "os" to slightly come forward. Do not get up after sex, for the night, to allow the sperm to find its way to your uterine os and move toward the egg. #3)Look for a practicioner who knows how to manually re-align your uterus.

Best of luck for your friend.

I was told I would never have children because I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and much to my hubby and my surprise we had healthy (but a little premature) twin girls in 2002....... If you ask my OB/GYN ANYONE can have children, it's just the possible complications, which some doctors tend to make much scarier than they really are. Remember, statistics can lean ANY WAY a person wants them to lean.

I have this exact problem and got pregnant with both of my kids, it took about a year, so tell her to just keep trying, it'll happen! Also, I charted my temps with Fertilityfriend.com, tell her to check it out, it will help her pinpoint exactly when she's ovulating, so she'll know when to really concentrate on it!

My sister has a tipped uterus and had trouble having children. She used invetro for the first child and had two more naturally. It is still possible.
