Once in a blue moon I'll meet another "cool mom". By "cool" I mean open-minded, youthful, easy-going.... I definately don't fit in with the other tennis playing suburbanite mommys around here.
So I'll meet an other (I think) like-minded parent and then later I'll get weird "oh, it's *you*" vibes the next time I call them or see them.
Is it just I'm picking up the wrong signals?
Yes, I do have friends, but why is it so hard to make new ones after 30? What can I do?

what is the funniest thing your child has ever said or most embarrasing thing. my son (4) says what the sh*t all the time at first it was hard to punish him because it was so funny that he came up with that all by himself but i got over it. it was just a shocked laughter.

I read the question about sperm coming out. I thought we were doing something wrong. How can we get pregnant if the damn sperm just comes back out, is what I asked myself. I feel better now.

Okay so me and my boyfriend have been datin for 10 months! Me and him both wanna have sex! Before ya'll ask! I'm 13 and he's 14! We already have plenty of protection so whats ya'ls opinion? Plz NO smart *** stuff!

My youngest is my 7th child, and I HATE comparing him to my other children because I KNOW all kids are different. But, I am concerned because at 10 months he still doesn't roll over, HATES being on his belly for ANY length of time, doesn't try at ALL to get around, etc. The ONLY milestone he seems to have figured out is sitting alone. (but even that isn't mastered 100%) He still needs the "boppy" behind him. Anyone else have this same problem? A baby who just doesn't want to be mobile? I

should add that emotionally he is a happy and wonderful baby. He plays fine and seems to have most of his fine motor skills perfect! The doctor is only JUST now starting to be concerned and has asked I take him for x-rays of his legs (for what, I don't know) If anyone can relate, please let me know!!!

Does yours... Maybe im just over reacting but im online constintly and asking people tons of questions and always so excited and happy... Ive ordered magazines and other things also... Is the mother always more into the pregnancy than the father??? first time pregnant also... So its all new to me and him both...

I am currently pregnant with my second baby. I am 9 weeks(not 4 weeks). I wanted to know at what week can you find out the babys' sex? With my first I did not find out until the birth. I also was wondering is it safe to have sex during pregnancy? Up to what week or month. What positions are easier while you are pregnant? Thank You!!

Just around the point of conception i was in a tanning bed... Only 1 time... i didnt know i was even pregnant then... so then i found out i was and am now 2 months... do u think it did anything to my baby?

It really bothers me that every where I go I have to worry about people trying to touch my son (4 months) or even want to hold him. These people are almost always strangers to my son and 1/2 the time stangers to me. For moms out there who have dealt with this whats your best response when someone asks to hold them? I've been trying to use my Bjorn to avoid it- but that's not always a possability. For those out there who may be reading this and do not have children please note that us moms dont like our babies hands touched (they put them in their mouths) and please don't ask to hold a baby you don't know. Its pretty creepy!

How many teens here, (boys & girls) have seriously prayed to God, for their, (or their gf) period to start? Do you know how many hours a day a sexually active teen worries about pregnancy? Why do you torture yourselves like that?

Yesterday my ex friend breastfed my 2 month old son without my consent. He has been throwing up all day this morning and half of last night. My ex friend could possibly be Hep C positive, but the doctor has informed me that vomiting is more of a reaction to something that he may have been exposed to through her milk, and if it persists until noon, to bring him back in (he's already been in for preliminary bloodwork for hep c this morning). I gave my son colostrum for a month and a half, but stopped after that and he was put on Nutramigen for allergies. My ex friend knows he needs that special formula, NOT her possibly contaminated milk. to make matters worse, she breastfed him alongside her 14 month old who just got over bronchitis. My son has never been sick. Now he's throwing up. She informed me she did eat garlic pasta yesterday. My first instinct was to destroy her and throw her into fire, but that would land me in jail. My hubby is in Iraq, but will be able to return if it's bad.

I painted my nails with my 2 year old daughter for a wedding. My son has been asking ever since then if I would paint his nails. I gently would try to distract him and put it off: "Let's finish our art project 1st and then we'll do it." (Then when art project is done, he's forgotten about it.) Well, finally, he climbed up into the cabinet and brought me the nail polish! So I painted them. Now my husband is mad and is making fun of him and telling him he won't be seen in public with him. Should I have painted my son's nails? Is it okay for my husband to make my son feel bad about this?

Bedwetting is sporadic and although we've tried "no drinks after 6 pm" and getting child up at night in her sleep...she never remembers going to the bathroom when she does this, of course...., mostly this works but sometimes it doesn't. Have had her checked with doctor...unsure what to do next...
