You are advised NOT to tan in a tanning bed while pregnant. This is because of the heat. You don't want to elevate your body temperature when you are pregnant. You also may burn more easily while pregnant...this is why even in the sun you need to be more careful. I doubt the one time you tanned will affect the baby, just don't do it again.
It is also recommended that you not sit in a hot tub or sauna while pregnant. Again, the rising body temp. is not good for the baby.

NO, it didn't do anything to the baby. Sometimes tanning can actually help a pregnant women with her moods. I have told women that as long as they watch their body temp and don't get overheated, then it's fine.. just no more then 10 minutes a week. It's best not too, but if it makes you feel better, and you are used to being tan, then it's fine.

my doctor told me i could tan for 10 minutes a WEEK(in a tanning bed)! but i am also 1/4 indian, and was used to tanning for 15 minutes every night, and i was really really dark to begin with. but to maintain a little color he said i could tan 10 minutes a week. If your used to a tanning bed im sure it wouldnt hurt you,but if your white and get burnt really easily i wouldnt tan or if you are still in your first trimester. cuz if you get a fever while you are in your 1st trimester, it could affect your baby.

YES. DO NOT DO IT. he heat can hurt the baby and so can the rays. The skin is stretched to the baby can still tell the diff between light and dark, it can hurt the babys eyes and everything. And dont go in hottubs either.

If you only did it once probably not. Just don't do it again because it can cause the babie's temp to go up and it can not control that so it will die.
