The Fairness Doctrine = FORCED liberal programming

Are we then going to have to FORCE NBC, CBS, and ABC to hire more Conservative reporters and anchors too? It is ALL ABOUT FAIRNESS right?

I've heard both that 1.) they're already overquota for this year and 2.) that, b/c the enrollment rate is so low, there are people going for their second and third deployments.
I have a cousin who it's taking forever to get in...it turns out his enrollment was delayed b/c the recruiter did something illegal and is on trial now. But, he was told he still had to wait b/c of an overquota. But, my sons' friends' step-father is having to go back around Christmas and he REALLY doesn't want to. I've never seen such a big man look so scared. So, what's going on?

I thought the enemy already had control. Isn't that why we are in Iraq, to gain control?

The whole "Why don't you enlist and go to Iraq if yo support it" thing? Is that the thinking of a teenager or an adult?

Should we expect them to work in an abortion clinic? Maybe have a gay marraige themselves?

ridiculous

Two Term George W. Bush has liberated 50 Million muslims from Tyranny and yet has done a great job protecting our all volunteer military (that just exceeded it's 2006 recruitmtment goals) from mass casualties. Instead of the Great Liberator should we call him the Great Protector?

Civil War 562,000

World War 2 408,000

World War 1 58,000

Vietnam 58,000

Korean 54,000

Revolutionary 25,000

Mexican 13,000

Iraq War ......3,600 Fine young Conservative Patriots. America thanks them for their sacrafice to our Nation

I have to tell you, even with Bush bringing Honor & Dignity back to the White House after the Impeached Clinton and giving us this RED HOT economy with a VERY low 4.5% unemployment rate this might be his greatest accomplishment!

The corporations in America are giving tons of money to the politicians who make "our" laws during their campaigns to make sure that their absurd campaign contributions will result in a favorable political move for the companies.

If Congress is for the American People, wouldn't the Iraq War be over? You can admit it was a mistake, but why prolong it further and make hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead?

Since no one values an Iraqi's life these days, what about our troops? Do they have to suffer crippling wounds and deaths to fight for politics? There was no mass destruction weapons and it has caused trilliions of dollars wasted when it could go to our education, global warming, DARFUR!!!, better management of prisoners.

On the people side. America is one of the most fair countries in the world. Most people can make a living here and not endure that much poverty and have a prosperous life.

However, the Negatives outweigh the Positives! (And yes I'm moving out of America!)

A young cousin of mine who is just started getting interested in politics asked me what all the hype was about in Iraq. I told her, but I'm curious to see what other people know about the war. This isn't meant to be controversial and I'm not asking opinions, I want to hear the facts that others have been told.

Shall we be pleased that our newly-elected liberal senate is doing these zany, madcap stunts? Is there some point to putting effort into these charades? The senate vote was never in doubt. Does Mr. Reid have nothing better to do than put on little dog-and-pony shows for a largely disinterested audience?

The widow of Daniel Pearl has sued more than a dozen reputed terrorists and Pakistan's largest bank, blaming them for the torture and murder of the Wall Street Journal reporter in 2002.......

Backed by the bank, terrorists "carried out the kidnapping, ransom, torture, execution and dismemberment of Daniel Pearl and broadcast those images nationwide," the lawsuit said. The suit seeks unspecified damages for acts it alleges were meant to "emotionally destroy the Pearl family and terrorize, appall and frighten American citizens."

It is a mystery to me, the US calling themselves the "land of the free", but at the same time denouncing the lovers of freedom or generous people, which is the meaning of "liberal".

And please keep your venom to yourselves, I'm genuinely interested in how that came about, when it started, why it is still going on.

Why would they propose raises and increase military strength but attach it to troop withdrawl?

"The maneuvering occurred as the Senate debated a broad defense bill that includes a pay raise for the troops, revised regulations for detaining suspects in the war on terror and an increase in the size of the Army and Marines. Following the vote, Reid said he would suspend work on the measure, to which the Democrats sought to attach the troop withdrawal provision, until a date to be determined."
