Don't be too hard on them. The media has been publishing scary stuff about global climate change for 100 years and there have always been people that fell for it. I guess that's why they keep it up. (The truth must hurt.)

We don't. We never fell for Bush's explanation of 9/11. And, we never believed that Al Queda was going to attack in 2004 right before the elections like Ashcroft and Condaleeza Rice kept crying about. We don't believe in the doom and gloom of the myth that if we pull out of IRaq the terrorists will come over here and fight. We never believed Saddam had anything to do with 9/11 or that he had WMD's or that he had links with Al Qaeda.

Like how we believe if we withdraw some of our from Iraq our country will be destroyed by Muslim extremists? Or how we believe gay marriage will lead to the collapse of all morality, finish off the decay of marriage, and cause widespread acceptance and legality of bestiality and pedophilia? Or how the End Times are coming because some people don't necessarily feel that it's appropriate to have a model of the Ten Commandments stating "You shall have no other gods before Me." in a public, supposedly secular courthouse? Or how we believe any and all programs to help the poor and middle class are a one-way express train to becoming the Soviet Union? Or how making it illegal to own machine guns or rocket launchers will result in a police state?
Oh wait, that's NOT us, that's someone else...

I haven't seen them falling for the gloom-and-doom theory that if we don't fight terrorists in Iraq they'll come straight here en masse and start blowing up shopping malls.
Sure, just about every other gloom-and-doom theory, but not that one.
