I've heard both that 1.) they're already overquota for this year and 2.) that, b/c the enrollment rate is so low, there are people going for their second and third deployments.
I have a cousin who it's taking forever to get in...it turns out his enrollment was delayed b/c the recruiter did something illegal and is on trial now. But, he was told he still had to wait b/c of an overquota. But, my sons' friends' step-father is having to go back around Christmas and he REALLY doesn't want to. I've never seen such a big man look so scared. So, what's going on?

'nature lover'-I know scared when I see it and I don't know of any training that can prepare you to see bodies torn apart; you're answer was rude and completely unhelpful

Definitely not meeting quota, and as long as gwb is around that low quota will remain. Whats sad is the military is near its breaking point. It's great that many people at home support the troops, but families can only take so much. I know many people that have been home less than a year since OIF began in 2003 ~ at while it's comforting to know that people have the support the troops magnets on their suv's it really does little in the long run. That's why you see more vets (like myself) everyday saying we can no longer back this war or this president.

scared? LOL.....The last thing our military is is scared. The military is working to get the rotations down. There are many that haven't ever deployed. I know my niece got beat out from going by someone who outranked her. There are some quite good incentives to doing a tour. The military is above their targeted recruits so far this year.
