Bit of a weird question but what are army boots like? They go on those long runs whilst carrying heavy equipment & they just don't look comfortable, i have a pair of Timberlands & they're bad enough just walking in as there's no support whatsoever.

Thanks in advance.

:)

I just turned 18 today and want to register for the draft but I don't know where you register at. Does anyone where you register at or how long you have to register or if you get a fine or something if you don't.

I'm talking about the Amish living in America, who are American citizens. During the World Wars and the Vietnam war when there were drafts in affect, were the Amish exempt because of their lifestyle? I don't believe it is fair if they are exempt. All Americans should have to fight for their country if their country needs them to. All male Americans anyway, since I know that women in the military have the choice not to fight in combat.

I was wondering if there is anyone that is close to the San Francisco Bay Area. That is great at the APFT I just enlisted and I need to pass the APFT in April so that I can be put on the promo board. Also because I need to go to 31B school so if there is anyone or anyone that has any pointers on dieting or working out that would be great.
Thanks

If you could provide a regulation to find it that would be terrific! The bronze star was already awarded and now our commander wants to give him a MSM too.

You don't just answer random questions about military camps in iraq, you dont know if that person is a terrorist or not. I'm in the ARMY and i'm just looking out for the safty of "legal" american citizens.
P.S
I still want an answer to my question.

Assuming that I would be selected as a Naval Supply Officer, I was wondering what my housing situation would entail after all training was completed.

As a single male officer (junior), would I be more likely to be forced to live on base or outside of the base?

thank you for your help!

I started taking adderall about 2 years ago because of Chronic fatigue, and I smoked cigarettes, which make you tired. I've taken it ever since just because it gets me up and going every day and because I smoked and it countered the tiredness I got from smoking, but I quit smoking and I'm getting a lot more energy now. If I go off of the adderall, can I join the army? It's not for ADHD, and that should make a difference, shouldn't it? I had quit taking it for about 2 months, a year or so back, but then went back on it. Can I still join? Would I need to be off of it for a year, even though I was taking it to counter the tiredness from smoking? thank you.

Hi I am 23 yrs old & turn 24 yrs next year in summer. Well I've been into reading military books since I was 12 yrs old & thats how I got into it. I've been working at a restaurant for 3 yrs now & I want to be somebody & do something in my life. My cousin he served in the US Navy & he didn't like it. But, he said he learn allot. My grandpa he served in the USAF & he like it. He even bought WW2 plain. Anyways, he told me the US Coast Guard is good & interesting. I do like the water but, I do NOT want to be a sailor & I want to be a food soldier. I am not perfect & confident of myself.

Which branch in my looking for? Marines? I do not care about boot camp or money. What is good for me? If I do not join the military, would I regret it later?

Does the army look into your medical history when you join the army, or do they just simply go off what you tell them? Do they ask for medical records from your doctor, or what?

I am in my first year of studying engineering, with the focus of becoming a aviator in the Navy. I want to be a strong candidate. I figured that if I get some exposure to the service I could add weight to my resume when I apply for a pilot slot. So, I really like the sounds of the Navy reserves, as long as it does not interfere too much with my studies.

My parents are american, I was born in australia, I have a GC, and will be a citizen well before I complete my studies, so no barriers there.

any advice please?
thanks guys.

I am graduating in May from college. How long does it take to get a decision whether you will be accepted into the OCS program? I kind of need a steady job in a hurry...plus I think it would be a great opportunity. Also I have prior service...so do I have to go to BCT again, or can I just go staight to OCS? This is for the Army

So? Now not to many Indigenious Iraqi Christians in Iraq left.

So what did we (US) do wrong that made them vulnerable to terrorsits & genocide?
What can we do now?
