i want to apply to a military Academy, but who do i get a letter of recommendation from?

Was on the phone with my mom-needed it quickly because i didn't have the information right on hand at the moment.

You must receive a congressional nomination from your district's representative or one of your state senators.

For letters of recommendation, think academics, athletics, and professional. A teacher from one of your honors courses, a varsity coach, or your boss are all good sources. They may ask you to write the letter and they'll just sign. If possible, I would try to avoid that. It is much better if they write it themselves. Someone reviewing your application can probably tell the difference.

a congressmen... or the vice president if you can reach him. each member of congress can have 5 appointees to a military academy as can the vice president, You don't have to know the congressman the recommendations are not politcal. Just get in contact with him, have your transcript and a personal statement ready for him. You need to begin the admissions process your second semester of your junior year.

Look into it yourself. If you want it, you will find it. If you need to ask here and not find out on your own, I do not want you to be an Officer and have to lead men.

If you really want it, be resourcefull, it is a trait you must have to be an Officer.
