Bit of a weird question but what are army boots like? They go on those long runs whilst carrying heavy equipment & they just don't look comfortable, i have a pair of Timberlands & they're bad enough just walking in as there's no support whatsoever.

Thanks in advance.

:)

My husband says they aren't that bad. Of course he has been in for 20 plus years and has seen them change over time. He says the new ones (brown) are much more comfortable than the old black ones, but even they weren't all bad. He has two pairs, and switches them off, one pair for odd days, the other for even days. That helps alot. If you buy boots, like the Bellvilles, keep in mind that they are not authorized and you may be asked to remove them and wear only authorized boots.

eh? The Summer boots are okay once you get them broken in, but the winter boots are pretty decent. Just get a little help from Dr. Scholls and your fine! And like the other guy said, Bellevilles are really nice, I got lucky and got those issued!

There ok for walking around in. With all of the extra stuff they are not so nice. I get blisters on my heel and under my big toe. I have to change out the insole every three months.

After you break them in, they're fine. You obviously wouldn't want to go on a hump in a new pair of boots.

Not really comfortable, but you get used to them. Jungle boots are a bit more comfortable.

Just like anything else, you get what you pay for. Army issue usually suck. Get a nice pair of bellevilles or converse, and its like walking on clouds...

they suck a little bit at first, but with wear they will become more comfortable and they will conform to fit your foot. Sometimes i also speed up this process a little bit, with some shoe oil and the oven.

Not the ones that u start with in my opinion. But u can always upgrade and get Nike, rockies, converse, etc. Those r all really comfortable from what I hear.

The new ones are much better. They have really improved since the 80's.
