Why would there be?

It's doubtful that American troops are on stand by to enter Pakistan. This is an internal problem that would be exacerbated if the US interfered.

Certainly, the Pentagon has a contingency plan to help the Pakistan army secure it's nukes, should the government of Pakistan request such action or if the government was overthrown or otherwise unable to function.

Probably not as there is no reason to do so at this time. If they were the people who would actually know would not be in a position to tell you or be allowed too so what you hear would be rumors or what people think. From experience if you actually go high stand by you will on the base, the base locked down, no communications and if you get caught talking to people off base it is your career. Did that a few times in Marines once for five days sitting on base waiting before going home; yes that was no comm to family, on base not allowed to leave and civilians coming on base for emergencies (dependent med care and so forth) were restricted to where they needed to go and back off base and in many cases escorted. Probably a lot of rumor and talk about it among troops and some units will be getting ready just in case they are asked to go on standby but that would be local preparations and not an official stand by or recall to get ready to go someplace. A good unit commander will think ahead in a situation like this and look at the "what ifs" and do some prior planning but not officially do more then that.

My personal Opinion is, Bin Laden is still out there. He leveled our world trade center and killed over 3 thousand people on American soil. If it will assist in his being killed or captured I say we need to stomp a mud hole in his ALFA SIERRA SIERRA
