In battle is it ok for an officer to dress an infantry soldier as an officer so he will be safer shouting commands during battle?

To the enemy the soldier shouting orders could just be a loud soldier who's angry so he just shouts alot...

My husband was not allowed to re-enlist until after the 1st of October becasue he was not able to collect his SRB until after the 1st of the Fiscal Year. His EOS is 10/27/2007. Apparently the SRB was not approved by Congress until later and he is still not able to get his re-enlistment until he is "Approved", if he can re-enlist until after his EOS date can he still get his SRB? Why is it taking so long to get this approved? Should we be concerned?

I want great training like the Marines have to offer and also would like to have the most job opportunities after service like law enforcement and federal job etc. My parents are against me being in combat or life threatening situations. I am very smart and can do many more technical jobs. If I join the marines is it likely to avoid combat? Or am I better off with Navy or Air Force

I understand from my investigations of military life that when my husband deploys (he's still in training but I know its inevitable) that the family readiness group composed of spouses at the base will support the soldiers' spouses in different ways. Unfortunately, I will have to remain at home because of having a newborn to take care of, and having emotional and financial support from my family and my parents in law. That means I am planning to use the money he earns (with his consent of course!!) to go to him now and then until he leaves for 15 months, stay in lodging on the Army Post, and "play" family for a week or so at a time, then return home. Also do they have a way to offer support and counseling groups if you are in a different State? I think I will need it. Also what's it like not to see your husband for 15 months and then he returns? I love him sooo much but its almost like we would be starting all over again. Our baby would be a toddler. He won't know his daddy.

accommodation within 4-6wks, husband started his posting on the 3rd sept, he left me and the kids on the 1st sept, only to now be told that they cant find us accommodation until after christmas, Im now 16wks pregnant, and feeling just a tad low about the whole thing, and now due to my husband being on exercise on and off for the next couple of months, the next time we will see each other is in December! I just feel like this situation is barbaric and unnessary, I have no support from anyone and feel completely on my own. Im hoping that we will all be settled and back together as a family before the baby arrives and have time to spend as a family and with our new arrival before he gets sent to Iraq for 6 months!

My husband is now there where he just got stationed. I stayed back until we can find a place to live. Our problem is they didn't allow us to look for a place until he got there (this past Monday) and we will not have a car. Finding a place close by the base with a bus line that will take him there is really hard. I want to know if anyone is there now who could help? If anyone can tell me where a close place to go would be of great appreciation! I called the bus line already and they are saying that it would take 4 hours to get to the base. He has PT at 6am everyday and the bus will arrive at 9 am at the earliest. Then he will have to come home and take a shower only to go back! So you can see the bus will be a problem. But that was from University Place. I have no clue what to do! PLEASE HELP! I will be arriving on the 20th with our 2 kids so we really need to find something quick !
