my brother is in the navy and i was just wondering if he could get a house, condo etc..
he doesnt kno yet coz hes working i think..
so do the us navy pay for his house if hes getting one????????/

If he is single, he will not be able to get BAH until he is an E5. Prior to that, he will only be allowed to live in the barracks, or on the Ship.

the Military does not pay for a house, they give you basic Allowance for Housing. It is NOT meant to cover mortgage payments, only the average rental cost of the same type of housing he would qualify for in military family housing.

no they will not pay for the house,but u will get some money for the house it's called house pay or house allowance,your bro should also get an on base allowance to.Although all this depends on your bros status pay grade,rank,overseas,domestic etc....if u have any further navy questions just pm me

If he has a family, he can get housing, or be paid extra to rent a place. If he is single he will have to live in a dormitory if he is enlisted, at least until he makes some rank. Of course when he is on sea duty, he will get a bunk and a locker!!!

It depends on his rank and the command policy on that base/ or unit he is with.

The Military does give housing money to its Service Men/Woman, to help with Rent or Mortage.

But they can't live on base and get it at the same time.

pay for it NO they give u money every month to help pay its called BH well at lease it is in the army but if it is alot to pay a month then it will only help some the rest will come out of his pocket
