I don't know how much longer you need to wear your braces but I would suggest waiting until they are removed prior to going to boot. The DIs would harass you to death and a pugil stick to the mouth would make a hell of a mess.

N O, recommend that the braces be removed prior to Boot Camp. You should be able to enlist
and be in the Delayed Entry Program. Recommend a visit to a US Marine Corps Recruiter ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Current orthodontic appliances are disqualifying. Retainers are permitted if all active orthodontic treatment is completed. People with orthodontic appliances can be enlisted in the Delayed Enlistment Program (DEP) if a dentist or orthodontist certifies in writing that all active treatment will be completed before the applicant takes the oath of office and enters active duty.

LOL HH THATS FUNNY. IF YOU HAVE BRACES I WOULD RECOMMEND U TO GO TO STA PLATOON. MAKE SURE YOU SMILE REALLY BIG WHEN THE SUN IS AT UR 12 O' CLOCK AND THE SPOTTER IS LOOKING FOR YOU. MAKE SURE TO ASK UR RECRUITER IF YOU CAN SERVE AS ASSISTANT RADIO OPERATER IN THE EVENT HIS RADION ANTENNA GOES DOWN. ALSO TELL UR RECRUITER THAT YOU WANT A WAIVER TO BECOME AN "A" DRIVER FOR A CH-53. THEY HAVE A LOT OF BRACES WAIVERS FOR THAT.

I think you will need a waiver for them and I do believe they will have to come off prior to going to MEPS.

I believe you can have them, but there are no orthodontists that can make adjustments or repairs. I would wait until they come off. Besides like was already said. You will only be bringing attention to yourself, something you don't want to do.
