i want to save lives, whether its a rescue swimmer, or what ever. but i also want to fly stealth bombers, and i know the USAF and the USN have schlorship programs. which should i choose. p.s. if there are any SAR(search and rescue) careers in the military for officers please put it in your anwser.

your two desires are in conflict. You cannot have both. you can be a pilot, or you can be SAR. Pilots are Officers. SAR is an enlisted job unless you end up being a pilot on the SAR helicopters. that would be the closest you could get to both desires..However, first, you must be accepted as an Officer Candidate, either via ROTC, OCS or, if not too late, the Academies. THEN you have to be accepted into the Aviation Training Pipeline. THEN you have to be lucky enough to get that platform. None of these things are guaranteed.

Check into the Coast Guard if you really want search and rescue.
I couldn't tell you about the Air Force, and I left ACtive Navy in '91, so it's probably changed since then.

Choose the lifesaving path.

All services have scholarships through ROTC.

You can fly SAR copters.
