Like if you enlist in the U.S. Army and then after a few tours as a soldier transfer to the U.S. Marine Corps and become a marine? So when you retire, you can tell your grandchildren that you were both a soldier and a marine, an army marine. Or another example would be if you enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard and then after a few years transfer to the U.S. Navy and be deployed overseas. Or another example could be if you are a U.S. Navy aviator and then after a few tours transfer to the U.S. Air Force to become an Air Force aviator as well. You just have to get use to landing on bases instead of aircraft carriers that is. When you retire, you can tell your grandchildren you were both a U.S. AIr Force and a U.S. Navy Pilot.

45 ACP (in a 1911)

.40 SW

.357 Magnum (with a 2" barrel)

12 ga. pump action shotgun

I need everything from reliability, to damage inflicted, stopping power, speed of powder burn (for the snubby), ease of feeding (for the 1911), hollowpoint vs. ball, muzzle velocity, penetration vs. over penetration, expansion and grain.

All that awesome stuff we all love to talk about so much.

I'm looking to change out some of my ammo to make these weapons more effective fight stoppers. Any links to articles, studies, ballistics test, etc. are much appreciated.

If you are the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and you want to invade Cuba, would you do it through 1) an Airborne Assault (including Air Assault) by U.S. Army Light Infantry units, such as the 101st & 82nd Airborne and 75th Ranger, dropping behind enemy lines to establish an 'airhead' first 2) an Amphibious Assault by the U.S. Marine Corps, landing on the coast to establish a 'beachhead' first?

The US Marines were banned from filming a recruitment commerical in the Baaay City. Given their anti military stance, should Al Queda choose to target San Fran, should the Marines let them have it?

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=i_team&id=5673526

I say, if the Marines are not welcome in your city now, don't come screaming for help when the attack comes. Maybe you can throw flowers at them instead?

BTW, what is the 'gay' population in San Fran now? After Al Queda gets there, it will be zero..........

Is there any way to trace a soldier who may well still be in prison? I am unsure, as a civilian, how the process works. I know he was imprisoned in a military prison in the early 1970s for stabbing his CO to death. Would he stay there for the whole sentence or be moved to a civilian prison- is there any way I might be able to find him?

I only ask as my father is not too healthy any more and this old soldier (who would now be in his early 60s I think) was a childhood friend, and he'd like to see, or hear from him, once more.

Please do not judge him on his actions as I really want to find out if I can get hold of him- thanks.

According to congressional records, the Iraq war is costing the US upwards of *two trillion dollars* & rising every second. Which makes me wonder how much, aside from thousands of lives, is the war costing the Iraqis? How can they afford it? Is their government richer than ours? What are your thoughts on this?

I need to get a medical marijuana recommendation and/or prescription from a licensed physician. I have chronic pain and depression, both as a result of being a veteran, and am a poor student who cannot afford to buy 420 on the street. My injuries have already been verified by the VA and am currently receiving benefits however I have been using Vicodin which is rather unhealthy after long periods of time so I wish to use something less hazardous and more effective. I am a veteran but I do not know if I can take care of this at the Veterans hospital or if I should see a private physician, and which physician. I am located in Los Angeles, Ca and served four years of active duty and three tours in the Middle East. Any advice?

I made a big mistake by enlisting in the USAF. A real big mistake on my part. I've been to all the DEP meetings and me and my recruiter have a cool relationship. He never tried to sell into joining. I wanted to join myself, but now I wanted to get out because I want to be in the USN. What steps should be taken in order to follow through with this.
THANKS.

I was in the Army for about 6 months, I loved it! I want to go back really bad, but I have a wait time to heal and get back in shape, and so I have to work while I'm waiting... I just can't find anything as satisfying as training and learning, growing and serving every day. :) I miss it.

You are a lieutenant commanding a small force of 15 soldiers who have been pinned down and are encircled by a vastly superior enemy force of 100. Its nighttime, and you have discovered a route of escape and have deviced a plan. its touch and go, and very risky but you have decided to give it a shot. Only thing is one man must stay back and cover your retreat from a spot where one man can really hold off and delay the enemy for at least a few minutes while the others escape. Problem is that he is sure to die as the enemy will eventually maneuver so they can get him in their sights.

How do you select who stays? Do you ask for a volunteer? Do you volunteer yourself as the officer? If no one volunteers, do you draw straws?
