"what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

I believe it was Nietzsche said that. Then he went totally nuts.

I think you mean..."That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger." but that's too general a statement. Sometimes, if it doesn't kill you...you come out stronger for the experience. Other times...in horrible tragedies...a person may not be able to cope and they end up having mental issues for the rest of their lives.

I truelly believe that once someone takes someone's life no matter what the sercumstances (im sure I am spelling like crap) They are changed. I think guys who have alot of love for people and heart that they have a harder time with it when it comes to war. But obvisuly from Veitnam killing someone does not mean your are a strong person or "a man", because alot of people had problems after that war from klling people.
Buttom line is killing people sucks and it is a crapy way to live when you have to do it. I think badly of Gang bangers who do drive by's and crap like that because they seem to not understand that people died for them to be free. and they are going to kill people over colors. Anyway thats off topic but killing sucks.

No, the saying is "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Not "if you don't kill it". LOL

If you kill someone, you are immediately enslaved to your conscience. The strength within you has to endure that knowledge all your life.I have talked with soldiers who have killed many times. For them it was -kill or be killed.I can understand their hate of their enemy. But many would have preferred not to kill. The soldiers who fought well deserve our Accolades. Those that kill for money, drugs, and for no particular reason, may they rot in Hell. The strength if any, comes from knowing-I have not killed-I will not kill.
