Ok i have a report and this guy wrote a letter to his sister while in the civil war what does the letter mean?


My beloved sister,

“With all my devotion to the Union and the feeling of loyalty and duty of an American citizen. I have not been able to make up my mind to raise my hand against my relatives, my children, and my home. I have therefore resigned my commission in the Army, and save in defense of my native State, with the sincere hope that my poor services may never be needed. I hope I may never be called on to draw my sword…….

The US Government is a disgrace to the military, the nation and to the entire planet.

I've met so many military men in my life, but they don't seem to carry many morals with them. Their whole deal is bars, taking pictures in bars, taking pictures with drinks in hand, swiggin' down a beer, "Vegas baby"!, and they have an attitude like they are superior because they have served in the military? They are also committing many crimes and adultery. Their lifestyles tend to resemble just the average fornicating man; nothing special as it's cracked up to be: "Wow! I'm in the Honor Guard"...so what does that make you honorable? No.

They shouldn't be involved in this baseless Iraqi war, but I am seeing more and more that they join the military because they think it'll buy them a home, or give them some falsehood of status, but mostly I've seen them committing more and more crimes. They might look good, some of them in a uniform, but where are the morals?

More specifically: a friend of mine wants to know if it is possible for him to join the U.S. Army. He is 22 years old, from Ghana (where he actually lives).
If yes, how can he get the visa to reach the U.S. and looking for a recruitng center? Thanks everyone!

If one stops the pay of the USA military men and women they will stop fighting. The Insurgents do not get a pay check. They fight for honor so guess who will win.

I'm trying to get myself ready for it. How many times do they tell you to drop and give them push ups? I do about 100 push ups total right now within 12 minutes, but that's it all day. And I do this every other day. Suggestions?

My husband has had a hard past 3 days he was supposed to be in a truck that hit an I.E.D. on Sunday but was pulled from the mission while the four in the vehicle died someone is looking out for him please pray for him and all those over there even if you are against the war support our troops they are doing the job they were asked to do. And pray for the families who have lost the loved ones they hold dear.
