So you are suggesting the use of a nuke? What good will that do? You'll kill millions of innocent people including the millions of people we are trying to free from violence.
You'll contaminate that area with radiation for hundreds of years.
You'll have every Iraqi and Arab not in that country at our throats for doing this. You'll wipe out a civilization instead of saving it.
Would you want to be responsible for killing women and children? Would you want to be responisble for WW III?
Think about!
By the way, If we did that, Al Queda and any other organizations would find another way to wage war against the U.S. from somewhere else. They might even use nukes.
Feel like burning to death in a microsecond?
Do you know that when we used the first atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that about 160,000 people were instanltly killed. Many of those were vaporized instantly who were near the center of the explosions.
Can you imagine your body raised to millions of degrees for a split second? And then...nothing.

No. Even if enough weapons were used to turn the entire country into a parking lot, there would still be Taliban and al Qaeda, who would set up shop either there or elsewhere to make mischief against the US. On the other hand, if an Iraqi government can get control of the country, it will be able to prevent that sort of mischief, and the victory will be real.

first, if you nuked iraq, you would have to answer to the governements of the world for the deaths of thousands of civilians. second, you would have to face everyone who would disagree with the fact that you dare use a nuke. third, if american troops retreated from iraq, there would probably be some dictator who would rise up, take control of iraq, and make sure that you cant launch a nuke against them.

The war in Iraq or the War on Terror? We would succeed in killing all life in that geographic area for about 10,000 years. But we would infuriate Muslims around the world and their allies. Al-Qaeda and these terrorist organizations aren't just one country. There are terrorists in Syria, Afghanistan, Morocco, Iran, Pakistan, and the list goes on. Are we going to just blow up the world and move somewhere else?

I believe the Iraq situation to be the epitome of a no-win situation. In your scenario we become even more reviled across the world (and justifiably so). In the present we're just in the middle of a civil/religious war.

No!!! For the simple fact not all people would die and there would be some still opposed to the problem over there, and turn more against the U.S. than they already are. This would be a stupid move on our part.

That is the most inhuman, utterly stupid idea I have ever heard.

I think after the U.S. became the first, second, third, and only country to drop atomic weapons on civilian populations, you can forget about any country every cooperating with us again.

Obviously thanks to all the bleeding heart liberals in this world, we would win against Iraq but lose to every other country on this earth in the forms of respect, support(financial & political),and various others.
