American soldiers are in the dilusion that they deserve honor for what is in truth the invasion and occupation of a country, and the casual shooting of its citizens:

USA soldiers will kill 10, 20, or more Iraqi civilians to get just one insurgent, (even if they are inside an M1A Abrams tank), which was designed to survive Russian RPG rockets

what is outrageous is that they say they are doing all this for the Iraqi people, but they are there for oil, so that the USA jerks back home can keep driving their SUVs and not pay too much for gas!

USA soldiers spit in the face of the Iraqi people,

The American consumer spits in the face of the USA soldier (by driving gas guzzling SUVs),

USA soldiers, listen to me, you are living a lie, and you don't not belong in Iraq,

The least the US consumer can do for the soldiers in Iraq is to drive efficient transportation,

USA soldiers, you are JUST BEING USED by your government, oil companies, and even US society.

WAKE UP NOW

Im Canadian, and I think Canada and the U.S should just unite and kick the worlds ***. Whos with me? we should just take over the world together and all live in peace :) We have the same values, the same weapons, the same views of the world, the same founding race, the same problems, the same anger, the same land, we should just unite and beome stronger than any nation before.

My husband is leaving in July for his 3rd tour to Iraq in 3 years. But this time is different, this time he and his men have more restrictions on their ablilties to defend themselves and thus the mortality rate has increased. So I just want to know, for everyone on here who speeks ill of the troops, are you thankful for those who put their lives on the line, even if it means missing holidays, events, their families, and their normal life? Why?

Heres what I need: Something that can slash, hack(iffy), cut, stab, easy to weild and wont break like the **** they sell on ebay, comfortable, Wont fricken rust, doesn't require constant sharpening. Sorry for the vulgarity, but I'm tired of buying knives. Other soldiers can probably atest to this feeling. Peace.

I do recognise the strategic importance of Trident but when will the Govt realise and solve the massive shortfalls in the current budget awared to those men and women on the ground who are getting killed and injured especally the infantry.

I'm at Uni at the moment studying strategic studies so I have a good idea about this, but in a couple of years i'll be in the army and it concerns me that the budget seems to be going down not up even though the army is spread around on more operations than ever before!

Does anyone else have any views on this?

This comes from the other excellent question but from a different perspective. If you saw this going on, how would you handle it? I know what I would do and it wouldn't be pretty.

I'd also like to know if the Navy SEALs/BUDS allow tattoos or have any restrictions. I'd prefer that only active or ex-Navy militants answer this question.

The US has used some controversial techniques in the treatment of prisoners of the War on Terror. For example: holding prisoners for years without trials, using secret facilities to hold and interrogate prisoners, and water boarding.

Do you think that these instances blurs the line between the US and the enemy we are fighting? Do you think it makes us a little bit like the terrorists? Let me know your opinions.

Is it more fair to kill women and children from Jets and Helicopters?? And Using billions of dollars of sophisticated equipment??

We do kill women and children, you know. Except, we have people who's job it is to apologize for it. We can afford it. And apologies mean so much to dead people....

Right so we have 9/11. We have Madrid and we have London's 7/7.

Probably 3,500 innocent lives lost in about 5 and a half years. Thats an average of less than 700 per year. There are more than 700 fatalties a week in the US due to motor vehicles.

Im starting to sense we are losing some perspective with all the bluster and patrotism the President hides behind so he can play soldiers.

Is this really an actual war? or are we just convincing ourselves of that to justify the fact that we are going to burden our children with the biggest debt levels of any country in the history of the world fighting an opponent whose ideology wont just be destroyed by the might of the weapon.
