Check with teaching supply stores. My son's day care center staff went to a conference recently in the Tidewater area and they said there were lots of things directed towards young children with a parent in the military (we discussed it because my son found the army puppet they got at from a vendor on site). She said she was stunned at how much stuff is out now to help children understand the military better and cope with mom or dad's tour. Good luck.
