What kind of retarded question is this? If the U.S. is hiring people to possibly be shot up or blown to bits, then it is only common sense that they should take care of their 'employees'. Hell, they pay for parking tickets on government cars.

Im a medic, and i can tell you that not only am i obligated to care for wounded military, but also wounded civilians and even the enemy military if they are still alive.

Yes it does have an obligation and yes it does take care of them. If we could get rid of the government run facility and turn it over to civilians then the care would be even better. Nothing makes a person do their job better like having the threat of losing it hung over your head if you don't perform.

Absolutely. Why? It's just- I mean- You can't send them off to get parts blown off of them if you're not going to take care of them afterward. If we feel the obligation to provide welfare to people who are having trouble caring for themselves, then we damn well better have the obligation to provide for people who got injured caring for the rest of the nation.
