Can anyone tell me what a general training period is for MOS school?? And what kind of off time Marines get? Im trying to better understand whether they get weeknights off, along with weekends. Do they get leave after their MOS school before moving onto their job in the fleet?? Answers are greatly appriciated. Thanks

My husband is in AIT now. He gets day weekend passes but has to be back at night. His training is 10 weeks. There is no answer for time between jobs. He does get to come home for a little while but he has some friends there that are going straight to their jobs. If you have not learned yet when it comes to the military "nothing is definate untill you are there". Orders change all the time!!!

Depends on the school as far as time off goes. Usually weekends are free. However, there is also guard duty or fire watch shifts to be manned, etc...Usually after school ends, a Marine will get about 10-30 days of leave before reporting to the next Unit...Hope this helps...

They get leave after school before deployment.
The other time off depends on a lot of things.
