Ive never heard them support me for my work in providing Magazines for them to read as I stack them on the Newsagents shelves that I work for.

They chose a job, they are doing their job. They get paid for their job.

Why do they need people patting them on the back as well?

Alright I got into some trouble more then recently. My Sgt. Brought things up from 2 to 3 months ago then he wrote me up. Is there a limit on how far back you can go? Can anyone give me a link if there is. I've been looking and can't find anything in FM 6-22 or 22-100. Ok, thanks and have a good day. kat

The day Dale Earnhardt died, a helicoptor on a training mission went down in Hawaii and all aboard died. Lots of people were crying over Earnhardt, but no one said anything about the troops. He was doing a risky job for millions, the helo crew was doing a risky job for much less. No one had Support the Troops stickers on their cars pre-9/11. Why not?

Please see this from this mornings news, now - assuming this is the case and that, as the report suggests, other intelligence information has been gained from this individual that the US evidently felt was sensitive enough to edit from the report - does the ends justify the means as far as Guantanamo Bay is concerned?

I'd prefer to keep answers anti lefty ranting, anti Blair or Bush bashing without thought out justification for it, ANTI RACIST and intelligent if at all possible.

Why should someone have to 'hide' their sexuality? As long as they do their job properly then its none of anyones business.

To me the policy is like a halfway house measure. Bet if somebody challenged the legalities of it, the military would find themselves up a certain creek beginning with S and ending with HIT.

Otherwise why allow women and men to work together in the military? What if they start having s * x? heaven forbid ......... I mean its the logical conclusion as we are all assuming gays are just going to spend the whole time in the military getting it on with one another right???

I have asked this question before, but with no satisfactory answers. It is understandable why most people think the German's might have prevailed, given the ineptitude of the Japanese government. But, what if Admiral Yamamoto -naval genoius that he was- had not been killed and went on to lead the Japanese Combined Fleet against the Bismarck and her sisterships? Would Germany's army have gained enough resource rich territory to able to press on into China and face the Japanese there or would Japan have knocked Germany out of the game on the water? Please give me your views on this. Those learned in military history and military science could give me the best answers.

The government say the NHS is costing too much - yet they can find £Billions for Trident nuclear missiles, that 'Eurofighter' junk-heap and pointless Middle Eastern wars! What are your priorities?

What is the right of USA, UK, France & others to forbid a country to have what they have?

Do you agree that the United States, the only one country that used nuclear bombs against another nation, gives to themselves the right to forbid the iranians to develop nuclear weapons for deterrence and self-defense based on a assumption that they would to use nuke in a hypothetical-future attack?

War in Iraq is nothing but invading another country. What did Iraq do? What do the US marines and other US soldiers think about when they fight and kill so-called "terrorists"? What do the US troops fight for? They're no longer fighting for us US civilians on the other side of the planet, now do they? I know nothing about you guys; Tell me if you really like serving for our country. Do you soldiers want us to demonstrate to the government to "bring the soldiers back to our homes", or is it just too much of a problem to do that?

I'm currently 17 years old and thinking of enlisting in the California NG when I turn 18.

About 5 foot 11, not very athletic but in shape. No medical or psycological complications other then certain allergies to pollen (Damn summer).

Thinking of enlisting as a infantryman (11B), Infantry senior sergeant (11Z), or Psychological operations specialist (37F). I was told I could opt for something called "Officer Training" so that I could start as an officer, not sure if there is such a thing but if it is real I'm still not sure if I will take it.

I like the idea of defending on American soil but not so much the idea of fighting on foreign soil.

I don't need the tuition money, I just want to defend the US should it come under attack.

Graduated highschool two years ago, if that matters.

Well am I a good candidate for NG or should I forget about it and stick with the civilian life?

I ponder since birth, why anybody believes the scare tactis of the various presidents and the pentagon, that another country could attack the USA. Hitler couldn't even cross the 20 miles from Dover to take England with virtually no military protection in 1942. I do not agree, that 9/11 was an attack. It was a humiliating failure of the pentagon in my eyes and woke up the wrong politicans.
