To include straights. That is, should straights not be able to admit to being in a heterosexual relationship for fear of being subject to a discharge. I just think that openly heterosexual servicemen and women in the Military might be demoralizing for some of the troops, y'know?

On the video game, Civil War: A Nation Divided on the Gettysburg level, a Gatling gun can be used. I have a really, really good feeling that a Gatling Gun was never, ever at Gettysburg. I just want to make sure I wasn't wrong, as rare an instance that would be.

By a 53 percent - 46 percent margin, respondents surveyed said that Democrats are going too far, too fast in pressing the President to withdraw troops from Iraq.
By identical 57 percent - 41 percent margins, voters agreed with these statements: I support finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security and the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism.
Also, by a 56 percent - 43 percent margin, voters agreed that even if they have concerns about his war policies, Americans should stand behind the President in Iraq because we are at war.
While the survey shows voters believe (60 percent- 34 percent) that Iraq will never become a stable democracy, they still disagree that victory in Iraq (creating a young, but stable democracy and reducing the threat of terrorism at home) is no longer possible. Fifty-three percent say it's still possible, while 43 percent disagree.

Tony Blair is due to announce the return of thousands of UK soldiers from Basra in a speech to Parliament on Wednesday. Is this the beginning of a major drawdown of UK assests in Iraq? It seems to coincide with his eventual stepping down as Prime Minister. Is he trying to protect his legacy by getting the boys out now?

After all, Iran actually has nukes, and has expressed her desire to use them on another country. Or should have attacked the Saudis, who sent 15 of the 19 terrorists on 9/11? Or should we have stayed in Afghanistan and concentrated on bin Laden?

The U.S. Navy Centroid Facility is located just north of US 50 to the east of Fallon, NV. The area may be known as 'Frenchman' and is possibly in the Naval Reservation shown at the following URL.

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&om=1&z=13&ll=39.286483,-118.23967&spn=0.118116,0.206509

I drove past on Sunday and there's a sign pointing to the north, if you switch that map to a satellite view you can see buildings in the middle of the area north of the road. Now it may simply be the geometric center of that test area. In any case Google doesn't have anything interesting on the subject.

The facility south of the road is a target range, those aren't active facilities or flying aircraft. Fallon, NV is the current home of Top Gun, so the Navy does have reason to be way over here in Nevada.

My brother turned 18 a few months ago, and received his first selective service thing. Is he being forced to join the military? It says if he does not register, he would expect 5 years in prison and / or $250k fine, and loss of federal benefits.

What exactly is it? Will I be asked to join when I turn 18? (Even if I'm doing well in school?)
