Both men were great generals but one stands above all others. Eisenhower is the greates General--excluding George Washington--in modern human history. Macarthur was more about image but Eisenhower was a great general who outstrategiest Hitler and his generals. Eisenhower, what a great American.

Eisenhower. My father served under MacArthur and said he was an aristocratic jerk. Eisenhower cared about humanity, MacArthur cared about his image.

MacArthur. He wanted to use nukes in Korea (the reason Truman fired him). It would have ended the war quickly and saved the lives of tens of thousands of Americans. He didn't believe in fighting a half-assed war, he believed in fighting to win.

Mcarthur is a true American. He fights to min, doesnt fight to play fair with the potential of losing. He was a man, and executed his plans with success which is what made him famous. Just like with Korea he would rather take a couple casualtys now and kill lots of their people while theyr down than wait for it to be a problem in the future which is why we have issues with Iran, Iraq, Korea etc... now
