I was seperated from the army under chapter 14 general with honarable conditions for failing a urinalysis. I probably would have been retained as i requested during my article 15 hearing but while on extra duty i broke restriction and left base for a night. I was subsequently court martialed for disobeying a direct order and my discharge was carried through. On my dd 214 i have a re code 3. I was also made to sign papers during my court martial ,one which said i was inelligble to reenlist for 2 years. Its been one year and i really want to rejoin. what are my options and can i ??

I heard that you have to either already have technical or mechanical training or be trained to serve in the navy?
I know this might sound like a dumb question, but is there any unskilled jobs in the navy?

About george Tenet:.... Yet his legacy may distill into a taunting shorthand: slam-dunk.

As in, it was a "slam-dunk" that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. Or so Tenet said, with the kind of unambiguous self-assurance that Bush so admires. These will go down as Tenet's famous last words, even though he uttered them more than 4 years ago. As a result 3,147 men/women have died over lies.

I firmly believe in the war on terror. When a dandy lion grows in the yard you don't get rid of the problem by picking the flowering part. You must get to the root to get the proper result.

A U.S. helicopter was shot down and crashed north of Baghdad on Wednesday, the military said after initially stating that the chopper made a "hard landing." All aboard were safely evacuated by a second helicopter and all had brown stains on the rear of their uniforms.

At least seven U.S. helicopters have crashed or been forced down under hostile fire since Jan. 20. Military officials have said that militants are increasingly targeting helicopters amid the buildup of U.S. troops in Baghdad, firing simultaneously with an assortment of weapons from different directions. The Army and Marines admit the insurgents are amazing. They ( Insurgents) never give up. The Iraq war may end up like another Vietnam.

I do because it would give our souldiers a fighting chance, a REAL fighting chance. I mean, honestly, if you get shot, its pretty certain youre gonna die (no offense), but if ppl still used things like swords and spears, you would have a better chance of living. Youre brain, cant even REGISTER, that youve been shot if u get shot by a sniper rifle, all it knows, is ur dead. So, give me YOUR opinion, please.

The "terrorists" in Iraq have been bred out of the Iraq War. They belong to different Islamic factions, each fighting for control of the new Iraq.

So why do Americans feel this war can be "won". Each attack breeds more people willing to kill or die for their cause. American soldiers aren't going to stop the attacks so I have to wonder, why do many Americans insist on staying there until the war is won.

Could be a long stay if they insist on trying.

Actually, I am happy for the Brits. But why can't we (U.S) start a withdraw instead of sending an additional 20,000 troops?? Did the Brits do a better job than the US in their part of Iraq? Why do Bush and Cheney say it's a good sign the Brits are leaving when the U.S. can't??? I'm sorry, but I am confused!!!
