i am trying to get into the US Navy and ive talked to a recruiter already. problem is i need to get to 191 pounds first. i was 250 pounds a month ago but I have been working out a lot and eating super healthy and im now at 225 pounds...so almost half way there.

i want to talk to a good, somewhat honest (i know haha) recruiter. does anybody know one?

i dont want one that will sugar coat things, becuase i am going to join one way or the other. i just want someone honest and who wont screw me over.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

My husband is in the navy, I can see if we can get you a recruiter on base, and perhaps give you a tour and see what you would be signing up for. You really have to get down to the 191 pounds or past taping because it will become an issue even in boot camp if you put fat weight back on. Once your in the navy for awhile, and if you gain the weight back and it isn't not muscle weight then you get placed on mando, where they make you get up at 5am daily to work out till you lose the weight. My husband is on that program right now. He absolutely loves the navy and his entire family is navy. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more information from him or I, also we just live three hours from Orange County.

I don't know any in orange county, but try to talk to the guy who was in the Navy the longest, and has been recruiting the longest, because he has the least amount to lose if you don't join! I talked to a recruiter who was about to retire, and he was straight up on everything, even though his partner really tried to butter me up... he would even correct his partner... But it was in riverside so if you are willing to make the drive... talk to the older black guy thats in charge if he is still there and you he will give you good info... or ask him if he can refer you to a good recruiter in your area, not just a recruiting office! talking to him helped me realized that the navy was not for me! so i will be crossing into the blue pretty soon.... go airforce!

The only good recruiters are the dumb ones, the smart recruiters are the one you should be worried about.

Do you self a favor and invest in a boat until Bush is out of office, then join.

Your talking suicide and you don't even know it.
