Not to mention the numerous lives that have been lost, it seems like every week there is news of a helicopter being shot down or that has crashed.

sgreger1 - Hey moron, I'm not ranting about this. I was just curious as to how many choppers went down. By the way, I'm a 6-year military veteran that fought during Desert Storm/Shield. What have YOU done for our country besides whine?

Too be honest....way to many. I know flying a helicopter is alot harder than a plane but it is way to, too many.

It's the media's job to report on things that cause the public to get upset.
How many flat tires have they had?
How many cars have been shot?
They even had to stretch the last story and say that a chopper that landed "hard" may have been shot.
Why is everyone concerned with the lives that have been lost?
This is the least amount of casualties in a war yet.

I believe at least recently its only been 6, out of hundreds and hundreds flying daily. 2 of them weren't even the US military. Historically speaking, there have been very very very very few deaths compared to any other recorded war. I would worry about it unless your worrying about joining the military, and if not, than let our troops do their job while you rant on yahoo answers.

Way too few; also, way too few armoured personel carriers.
As a non American and a non Arab/Muslim, I want to see exactly how the brave American heroes would fare against the cowardly yellow bellied A-rabs on a more equal footing!! hmmm
