350 lbs and very tall, have you considered professional wrestling? Seriously,,,,, or move to where the jobs are, Atlanta and Houston are good right now.Joining the Guard is good for a little extra cash but not enough for a family of four.

I'm sorry to say that you wouldn't meet the weight requirements for any branch, I spent much of my time looking at weight charts on six month weigh in recording height and weight. 2, I doubt that you could do the two mile run in the required time I seen medium size people not be able to complete it I think it was under 18 minutes or the approximately 70 sit ups in 2 minutes nor the 50 some push up, That was about the standards 7 years ago and then they kept shaving them to get faster and more. I swore every time I got to the next age bracket I be danged in they didn't raise the standards that I had to do more that I did when I was younger.
You will find a job move if you have to. There is something out there for you, Good Luck. Keep looking may not be what you want but find something until you get the job that is right for you.

I wouldn't try if i were you, size is good in most things, but a basic infantry man would rather be smaller, easier to duck behind cover. On the otherhand, you'll have an easier time running around with loads, they might make you carry some of the bigger weapons, like a HMG.
You'll need to check your BMI and see if it meets the standard to join. You are a little bit old however, i see that as the primary concern. Finally you'll need to check if you have any medical conditions that may make you unfit for service.
Otherwise, be very very sure if what you're getting into, military life isn't something most people can take, the kind of regimentation and controls you have to life under can be stifling, so i'd advise you speak to some people who have already gone in, and ask them for their experiences before coming to a conclusion yourself.

Not sure what the weight requirements are, but they do have restrictions (see the link, "10. Prerequisites for PMS:").
Sorry to hear about your employment status.
Good luck to you.

believe it or NOT the military and all its affliates have a weight limit. If you are over weight to their standards they wont let you, but if its what you want to do go for it. i woulnt go because your broke. my sister joined the military and she hated it and only dealt with it cause she got sent to okinawa, japan.

I wouldn't do it, my cousin did the same thing and he hated it... you should get a student loan and take night classes.
