You can't complain if you'd dead
My husband is AF. He didn't join EXPECTING to die. He joined knowing that there was a possblity of being killed or wounded. He loves his job and his country. Many times, he has told me that he would be proud to die for his country. I am very proud of my husband. He is currently in iraq for his third deployment. The only he expects is the respect of his fellow countrymen!

Leave a letter with your next of kin to be opened in the event of your death, use a medium or just come back as a ghost. Farming is a more dangerous job then the military but I don't expect to be killed at work, I served 25 years in the military first, I expected to get pissed a lot but I never thought that I would get killed at work.

What?
Show me someone who has complained that they have been killed.
I think what you are trying to say is that "hey, you signed up - you know what you were getting into", which I here a lot of people who don't know any soldiers or have any family fighting for our country, or have ever been in the military, say.
Many people join the military because there are no real alternatives for them, they are poor, they can't afford college...take a look at the ads for joining and the promises made by recruiters. You don't see many wealthy people joining, though there are exceptions of course.
Our brave soldiers deserve to only be sent into conflict as a LAST RESORT and only when they are given the best training and equipment. Many people believe that the Iraq war is illegal and we all know that our soldiers were not properly equipped and that there were not enough of them to accomplish what BushCo wanted. Horrible.
Remember that if not for our volunteer military, we'd be drafting...maybe YOU? So your position (that I restated above) is really ungrateful, if you ask me. Take a look at the names and faces of the people who are letting you sit there and type your question because you don' t have to put on a uniform and fight for our country. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/casualties/

Any job you do you will know the results of your and other peoples actions but you would not send a road sweeper out without a brush without them complaining. you can`t blame are brave men for complaining about there equipment it might just save lives.

I don't think you can complain, as you took on that eventuality when you signed the forms to join.
I served 6years in the Royal Corps of Transport, which is a supply regiment ( not front line, but obviously would be supplying front line ) & there is the remote thought it could happen, but to be honest, you don't think of it that much at all, well...i didn't .

I see your ID indicates 'life after death' but for the rest of us, death is final, so we shan't be around to complain.

Why would you complain? You know the deal when you join. You have two oaths and need to take them seriously. If not, you don't belong and probably aren't brave enough to do that job.

Well if you do want to join the military then I suggest talking to a local recruiter. But if you're not serious about this then maybe not such a good idea. And to picture yourself a solider you have to picture yourself a dead solider. It's a horrible truth that comes with the job.

No Vlad you can't complain, especially if you're dead!. It's a chance you take. We can all take comfort these days that we are not conscripted. Our forbears never had the choice. I think you should go easy on the impaling though Drac...
