Say, the next 70 years.

Will there be a nuclear Sino-American (vs China) war?

If China grows to be an economic powerhouse and a larger world superpower than the U.S., can the transition from the top be peaceful?

If China invades Taiwan to assert their dependence, will the U.S. intervene militarily?

I'm man enough to admit that I was a sucker for fighting in Vietnam. When will today's troops grow up? To excuse a spoiled Preppy like Bush for his unpatriotic cowardice during Vietnam, just because he struts around like Patton or some other real American leader, is childish and stupid. A pro-war draftdodger like Bush, despite the faked manliness of his high-sounding speeches, is the lowest worm on earth.

Why should we listen to those who don't care about the past of their gutless, girly-man leaders? The troops are afraid to be told that those who claim to support them are snobs who privately think that only expendable nobodies go to war and that their own precious brats have no duty to fight. The troops live in denial and childishly lash out at Americans who stand up to this President. The troops have no pride if they defend this traitor.

Rich Aristocrats like BUSH would rather have puppets fight their WARS.

War puppets are always willing, they fought for Hitler, Stalin, Bush, Castro...all the dogs of war.

Bush should have one pan of water and some cheap dog food so he can watch the war and smell the death he helped cause from a level he deserves to be...GROUND ZERO.

Anyone that fights for BUSH deserves exactly what they are getting. Some of these people actually THINK they are fighting for their country...total LIE

I hear it all the time, only the poor and uneducated join the military. John Kerry even alluded to this in his widely contriversial statement. The fact is that the US military is the most highly trained and compitent military in all the world. Individuals who enlist in the Military take away a sense of respect and honor that is unparrelleled to any other experience life offers. More than half of the United States 43 presdents served proudly in the US military, were they ignorant? The sense that only the poor and uneducated join the military because they have nothing else is an unfounded sentiment driven by the democratic party to bolster support from their base, the poor and uneducated. What do you think about this issue?

I did 10 yrs in the military. Ever since I camre home it's been hard for me to try to find work in the civillian world, My wife sh supports me 100% but she said that she think that I should continue the rest of my ten years so that I can retire at 37yrs old. Im thinking about it but i dont really know what to do. We have a son and we want more children, but before we have more I just want to make sure that my family is taking care of financially. And when Iwas in the military my wife or my son did not have to ask anybody for anything. I do need to pay off some debts. My wife sai that I should go back in take advantage of the benefits that the military gives me like finishing school, save money to pay off debts, and she also said that it's a reliable pay. what should I do?

It would seem their allegience would be to the country of their biirth and the coutry who has gave them so much, and when I look at how Americans are critisizing america I ask what is wrong with this picture, that true Americans are so ignorant and uninformed,is this attitude the reason our politicians who must have the same attitude keep selling us out, as a retired marine w/o with over 29 years of service , I am beginning to ask if these people are worth it, could some one please enlighten me?

Is Iraq more peaceful now than it was prior to the illegal invasion? I don't think so. Over 700,000 innocent Iraqis have been slaughtered since we invaded ..illegaly!, and 3,000 of our brave troops have been killed, died needlessly. and for what? What has it achieved? Mre Stability? No. It's decended into a Civil War. it's Chaos. Perhaps Iraq needed a Dictator in the first place. What is happening there now is a Travesty.Meanwhile Cheney is smirking all the way to his offshore bank to the tune of $1Billion from his Haliburton /Iraq Contract, while our brave men and women die daily.

I always start jobs and when I don't like them I quit after 6 months to a year. I have never stayed at a job more than a year. That's the main reason I'm joining the military to have an adventure and move around and not stay in one place.

Hi there.
My husband is stationed in HI and I am stateside with my children from a previous marriage. He has been turned in by soldiers for a suicide watch to the Chaplain. He will not release information. My husband has been refusing to tell me his chain of command for weeks as I have showed my concern. (I'm a new Army wife) How can I find this out? Every phone call I make to the base sends me in circles. He is a 63 Sierra with the 8th TSC at Schofield Barracks. Not one person will tell me where he is, if he is ok or even still alive. I need to know exactly who to call, what to say and who is who.
Thank you so much for any help!

lts a shame the numbnets on the right hide behind the their little perches and lambast everone that disagrees with them. With no allowance to respond. An AP AOL poll was released today and asked to name the first villain that came to mind. W Bush, 25%, topped the list far outdistancing Osama Bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein, among many others W tops the list. When President Clinton was inpeached his approval rating was 62%. Keep hiding behind your one way stupidity. My next door neighbor's son was in Afganistan( a noble conflict), and was told not to have any children for at least 2 years. They concieved a child, which was miscaired at 4and a half months."It's that damn **** I was exposed to over their". He understands who the villian is and now admits that everything W touches turns to S****!

He is famous for his remarks to the U.S. Senate Armed Services committee before the war in Iraq in which he said "something in the order of several hundred thousand soldiers" would probably be required for post-war Iraq. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz publicly disagreed with his estimate.[1]

When the insurgency took hold in post-war Iraq, Shinseki's comments and their public rejection by the civilian leadership were often cited by those who felt the Bush administration deployed too few troops to Iraq. On November 15, 2006, in testimony before Congress, USCENTCOM Commanding General John Abizaid said that General Shinseki's estimate had proved correct. [2]
