One thing you need to learn about being an army wife is that if it's a rumor then it is NOT true. They don't cover cosmetic surgeries like that and they shouldn't. If you want something like that you need to save for it. You might be able to get a surgeon that gives military discounts though because alot of civilian drs do that.

TRICARE Standard covers plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery only in the following situations:
• Plastic surgery can be cost shared when it is needed to restore function. For example, plastic surgery on a patient’s nose would be covered if it were necessary for the patient to breathe. It would not be covered just to improve the person’s looks. Because this can be a gray area, check with your BCAC/HBA or the regional TRICARE contractor if you have questions, before getting care.
• Plastic surgery can be cost shared for the following reasons:
– To correct a serious birth defect, such as a cleft lip.
– To restore body form or function after an accidental injury.
– To improve appearance after severe disfiguration or extensive scarring from surgery for cancer.
• Breast reconstructive surgery after a mastectomy is covered by TRICARE Standard regardless of when the mastectomy was performed.
• TRICARE covers breast construction by surgery. Along with the claims for constructive breast surgery, documentation must be submitted showing that the condition had existed since birth or was caused by an accident. TRICARE won’t share the cost of reconstructive surgery for a breast that is simply incomplete or underdeveloped.
• Breast reduction surgery may be covered under limited circumstances, for documented, intractable pain that doesn’t respond to other treatments. Check with your BCAC/HBA for details.

Most states will zing ya if married 10+ years at the time of filing for divorce. My ex got nothing. I moved out in year 8, filed just after year 9. The question was brought up. Then she zinged me a 2nd time when she had another kid with husband 2. Since I made more than both of them combined and new CA law was in effect she got a 75% increase, went to Tahiti with the current husband and my daughters college funds went up in smoke.

The only free surgery a military spouse would receive would be one to improve quality of life. If my wife wanted a breast augmentation she would only undergo the procedure if she had a mastectomy prior to request.

Nope, untrue.
Go to www.tricareonline.com to look into your benefits as the spouse of an active duty servicemember.
If you're at an installation with a large hospital, you MIGHT be able to request this procedure. I'm very pessimistic, but there could be a board-certified plastic surgeon who needs to do a certain number of procedures for currency.
Good luck, but I doubt it.

The only way you are going to get a nose job for free is if a doctor determines that it is needed due to medical reasons. (If you are having problems breathing or that sort of thing.) Most if not all medical bills for dependents will eventually be paid by tricare if the proper paper work is completed but ONLY if they are medically necessary.

Nose job surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Tricare won't even cover ultrasounds in my pregnancy, I can't imagine that they would cover a non-essential plastic surgery procedure.
Besides..............Tricare sucks (has been my experience anyway)
