Hi! Dave, The Freedom Fighters of Iraq have proved quit convincingly that if they wanted to get rid of Saddam, they could have. Saddam held the country together by whatever means and provided (for the middle east that is) a stable economy infrastructure and place to live. Bush and Blair did not invade to get rid of a tyrant because Saddam was a Saint compared with some of the African Dictators. Bush invaded because America's oil supplies are running out fast. Saddam was a good and clever leader and refused to bow down to Bush over oil. Invading Iraq was a big mistake. My worry is that America will run Iraq dry of oil and have to move on to invade Iran or some of the other Arab countries to get the oil it wants

Saddam had a fair murder trial in a democratic country that voted for the death penalty; I would say that qualifies as justice. Saddam's victims, on the other hand, never had such a privilege. It's amazing how self-haters, like yourself, feel sorry for Saddam, while Iraqis citizens are dancing and singing in the streets in celebration of true justice. You and your collaborators would assimilate nicely in Palestine. Hamas seems to be the last group of Saddam lovers willing to accept your beliefs.

Saddam got exactly what he deserved. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the execution crew taunted him and acted unprofessionally. They are representatives of the new Iraqi Government and this was an order by a legitimately elected government. What this ended up looking like was mob justice. I don't feel bad for Saddam one iota. I actually fell bad for the Iraqi Government because it hurts their legitimacy.

About the 182,000 kurds he killed, the first people aver to gas the Kurds were the British. And do you know that we actually gave him the mustard gas that actually choked them to death. When Iraq invaded Iran in 1980 the us and uk government armed Saddam. I know Saddam was a tyrant, he didn't deserve to live, but talk about double standards! What about the half million Iraqi's WE killed. The liberation was just what all those dead Iraqi kids wanted.

AT THE END OF THE DAY WE KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN SADDAM EVER DID. Lets all stop acting like we are some righteous crusaders going around helping the poor Iraqi's.

I don't remember seeing a US citizen on the court. We let the Iraqis deal their own justice to Hussein. I personally think that with all this new technology to prove that crimes were commited we should all have the 30 day waiting period from conviction to execution. I am not a fan of capital punishment, but if the states are going to have it then they need to be able to use it effectively and efficiently.

Humiliation? Saddam's thugs hung people in Kuwait from poles and left them there for all to see. The few minutes of taunting he saw before swinging was nothing. I completely fail to see how anyone could have sympathy for such a monster.

What he got was justice.

Sorry, but I will not shed one single tear over the "humiliation" and hanging of "poor" Saddam Hussein. Ask a Kurd if they think justice was done.

Perhaps, the only thing served with the 'rope' WAS justic, the 'humiliation' probably served only the individuals,..

as for the remainder of yor thought, i invite you to consider wether you think it is easer to forgive an individual for a murder, or a government for a war?

How would you know if Justice has been done??

Perhaps it has for those families who lost a member under his regime.

Perhaps it hasnt, Some people feel that death is not justice.

I dont think I would connsider it justice if I was in the situation.

But who Knows.
