I'm trying to figure out which one is generally easier and cheaper to produce during wartime, such as WWII.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My ex-husband just joined the Army National guard in the summer of 06. I don't know what his rank is...I imagine it's the lowest (Private) because he hasn't been in long. He told me he was training for "cannon direction specialist". He is leaving for Iraq this month. Anyone have any military knowledge...just trying to get an idea of what he'd be getting paid. He has been a dead-beat dad for quite some time now...I'm trying to decide if I should have my child support amount reviewed.

We all watch these T.V. shows everyonce and a while about new weapons, or the show futureweapons that are being developed and are developed by the military.

If everyone runs around saying the new superbomb is the most advanced and best bomb on earth, why arent we using it? How come we are using human beings instead of advanced robots?

Whats your opinion?

I know they are different but do they have similarties? Like do they scream at you like they do in the army? Do they do the same thing for new FBI recruits as they do in the army?

In the Navy you can get signed off on the DEP Book before BT and you'll be an E-2 going in. They also have it where if you have 2-4 friends enlist under your name you'll obtain rank E-2 to E-3 goin into BT.

Does the Coast Guard have these or anything similar to them?

(United States)

Our troops are getting in trouble for stupid things but anyway just wanted to see what you people have to say about this:

If you were over there and a kid (any age) comes up to you holding a gun do you think its worth shooting the kid or for you to get shot by the kid?

One concern I've always been worried about is this. Usually the college educated or those with some education serve while those who just don't want to go to school or just drop out don't have this obligation. Good theme to discuss and explore in a good objective matter and non offensive way. There's so much talent being lost

In the movie "The Green Berets," the theme "The Ballad of the Green Berets" refers to "100 MEN we'll test today, but only three wear the Green Beret." That was in the sixties. Have there been female Green Berets since?
