Can the Chaplain's Office Help?
My husband and I are having marital problems. He is addicted to some crazy things and has been unfaithful. I have not heard from him in 2 days and am sick with worry...haven't slept or ate in 3 days.... He lied about who his chain of command is and no one there will give me answers. Can the Chaplain's office help? What do I tell them so my husband's career is not affected? He needs help and I am so scared and worried for him right now.

I want to know where my grandfather was stationed in WWII. Also, my husband was named after someone who died at Pearl Harbor. I can find their names on lists, but no more info. Does anyone know a site where you can find out where vets were stationed or what years they served? Finally, if anyone knows what a "CWTP" in the navy was, please post it here. I know CWT was a Chief Watertender, but can't find anything out about CWTP - which is what is listed on the navy's official list of casualties at Pearl Harbor.

There were so many mistakes made by Hitler during the war I believe he lost the war for Germany with his refusal to listen to his generals and conduct the war as he saw fit. Here are a few mistakes.
#1 The Germans failure to capture the British Army at Dunkirk, Hitler stopped his army short and allowed the British to escape. This gave the British hope, If the Germans would have captured the bulk of the British professional army on the beaches of France who knows how different things would be. #2 Operations in North Africa, Rommel was asking for reinforcements the entire time he was fighting the British, Hitler refused, only relenting when America landed an army behind Rommels Army. Hitler poured in 500,000 troops but it was too late. The Afrika Corps was trapped between two armies and crushed. If Hitler had Given Rommel his reinforcements earlier he could have pushed up into the Middle East and secured the vast oil reserves needed to fuel the German war machine. Opinions?

Was dropping the bomb on Japan a good or a bad thing? I will argue that it was a good thing. My reasons for are as follows. #1) The bomb actually saved lives, combat projections were estimating that it would cost America one million casualties to take the four main islands. This doesn't include the millions of Japanese lives it saved, the Japanese population would have fought for every square inch and the slaughter would have been terrible. #2)Dropping the Bomb saved billions of dollars in spending for sustained combat operations, it brought a swift close to a war that would have lasted another one or two years. I think most people are opposed due to the stigma of nuclear weapons. More people died in the firebomb raids on Tokyo than in both Atomic bomb attacks combined. Lastly Japan started the war, sneak attacked us, they were particularly brutal to our POW's with beheadings being commonplace POW's slaughtered and buried in mass graves and even cases of cannibalism. It was just!
