I agree that there is way too much complaining about the War on Terror. Most people who are against it really have no idea what is really going on over there (or around the world since it is truly a global conflict for that matter). All they know is what little blurbs they see on CNN and other liberal sources like that. Most of the people who do the majority of the reporting that the general public bothers to check out are anti-war hippie wannabes any way. That's why I get all my news from internet sites like Drudge Report, WorldNetDaily and such. Those sites are more balanced and you can dig into the stories more since they have longer articles and more links than you'll ever find in a news paper or on TV. I also check out the web sites of our Armed Forces especially the one for the U.S. Marines since my dad and grandpa were Marines.

If people truly wanted to end the war on terror, they would be finding ways to defeat the terrorists, not our brave soldiers who are fighting them.

I pray that your dad makes it home safe. It's amazing that he has been involved in five wars already. He must be a great soldier. Thank you for your family's sacrifice for our country. It truly is the whole family that is involved when a soldier goes to war.

WELL AS U ALREADY KNOW ur question was a really confusing but i been to War and i look forward to do so again.. in the near future. An one thing i hate is the people that complain the most are people who just sit at home and Watch TV all day and do nothing for them selves or this so called Place Called HOME (America)...they never have been in any service or know anything about it. And people dont apreciate what we have done. Weather its right or wrong. Every American wakes up every morning and do as they please becuase of the brave people who wake up in a tent to make that happen. And i even tho i hate that i still im glad to serve this country with all the negativity of others.

Not sure of the exact question but in my own words I would say I am very sick of all the non military members complaining about the military and how the troops need to come home. They blame the president and whoever else they can but dont join probably dont volunteer or send anything to let the troops know they care. We are there whether right or wrong and the troops and our country need the FULL support of our people. They need to feel the decision that could cost them there life is worth fighting for. They start doubting it and it will not help them or the USA. I say a 5 right down the middle as i am not going to stop freedom of speech as they are fighting for our rights.

I think I understood the gist of your question, but it was rather convoluted in the grammar and wording...

I'm very tired of the anti-war/anti-american fools who constantly berate the American military. It is the greatest the world has ever known in scope and capabilities. It is also one of the most professional ever and is the model for many other militaries around the world.

No other country has ever had the ability to enforce its will anywhere in the world that the US has. Furthermore, every other country that came close to having such power exercised it to a much greater extent for its own benefit (Communist USSR, Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, even back to Imperial Rome). Only the US has both the ability and the self-restraint to be the world's greatest military force.

Very tired of people who complain about the military. we would be in a bigger mess than at present without them, North Korea would possibly love to drop an atom bomb on the rest of the worlds free countries, Iran also if it had a bomb. ´certainly Iraq would have loved to play with atomic weapons and try to rule the world, they are thank god too late for it now, also the people who are left are so badly off in spite of being an oil rich country, they may not try. Be proud of your dad, he has no doubt had some narrow escapes during his service.

Sorry I couldn't really understand you, but I kind of agree... The military itself isn't bad and protects our country and our rights from foreign invaders.. But individual military personnel are a different story, it up to them if they want to follow their branches code of honor, respect, etc... I mean obviously I'm going to insult a military personnel that killed for no reason while respecting those who do their job properly.

However I think the government should take care of its veterans better, that's all. There are other rants about the government but I guess this isn't the right question.. :)

The war never would have happened if more people had taken the time to figure out that the person they allowed to assume the presidency in 2000, was a complete and total blithering idiot. Those who ran off to enlist and then were shoved into the fraud of Iraq should have refused the UNLAWFUL order to invade. The war is a whore and the military is paying the price for Bush's pimping it.

I agree with CD, Martin and Troys_wife. I have "walked a mile their shoes" I did it for 10 years, and would still be there if I hadn't have been medical retired. Like most of you, I am tired of people down grading the US military. That was the life I and many other chose, knowing that at any giving time we might be called up to protect ours and your way of life, even if it meant the ultimate sacrifice. When I wore my uniform, I was willing to risk my life for mine and your beliefs, no matter what they were, no matter if you supported me or not. People need to understand, its the Men and Women of our armed forces that protect every thing you, your children, your children's children and your children's, children's, children have, say and do....

I think you need to proof read your questions better I am not sure who you are referring to. I will assume you are ranting against the protesters. In a Democracy you must speak out at what you perceive to be wrong and never shut up as that only allows the wrong doers to continue unabated. So on a scale of 1-10 I would say a 1 for the sake of a healthy democracy. I would hope you would want your father to not risk his life on a Presidents political whim but to fight for something worthy of his risk. reeking havoc in the middle east seems a poor goal to risk ones life over. I can understand Afghanistan they hit us 1st and thus that battle is worthy but Iraq is in no way worthy as it was a political wet dream of the Presidents that should never of happened.
