I need to send my husband a Power of Attorney so he can clear me from Germany...do I have to go through JAG to get it or is there another place to get a POA? I'm not staying close to a military base.

all you needs ia a notarized form. depending on what the form is needed for, you may only be able to use a specific one only available from JAG.

You can blank POA forms at places like Office Depot. Fill it in and take it to the bank. They can notarize your signature on the POA. It's a lot faster than waiting for an appointment at the base's legal services office.

JAG is basically the military version of a law firm. You can probably look up a lawyer in the yellow pages and get one done for very little money.

jag is the best place to go because this way you dont have to pay any money to get one done. if ya do use jag though, you may want to go early in the morning because they usually get pretty busy
