about 3 days. often there are cancelled flights or not enough flights for everyone, which makes for a longer wait time.

They can count on three days from when they actually leave their base in Iraq until they are home, or close to home in the US. They will most likely have to go from Iraq to Kuwait, wait about a day in Kuwait, fly from there to Germany, have a layover and then on to the US with maybe another stop. Delays are not uncommon and sometimes it is hard just getting from Iraq to Kuwait.

well when i was stationed in germany and went to iraq it took about a day and a half to get home. i was actually alotted a total of three days before and three days after to get to and from iraq with a stopover in kuwait. now that i am in the states it might take the total three days of travel time due the fact that it is much farther away. i guess it all depends on when the flights leave or if there are any hold ups which there tend to be alot of times.

My son had a stop over in Sweden or some weird place like that. It's been a couple of years ago I can't remember. I can tell you this though it takes too long when you are setting and waiting.

Hang in there he's be home soon! My niece is just getting ready to go there.

Depends on where home is. Can take anywhere from 12 hours, up to 48. It also depends on whether or not they have to stop off in Kuwait first or not.
