Afghanistan harbored the terrorists who attacked the US. And there was world support for military action there. NATO has been pleading for more troops -- not fewer. And now Bush plans to take troops away!!

B) if i found i would be drafted would it be a weasel move to join the air force or somthing where you wont see the front lines. What brances dont see the front lines in the military.

Alright so he came at me and blindsided me when I was talking to my friend. I was falling backwords and I grabed his shirt and he started to go down with me. I got one punch in right there, and he got 3 on my nose and one on the side of my head. I kicked him in the gut and got up. he went to jab me with his right so I went to his right side, dodged it, and nailed him under the eye on both sides 5-6 times and then finished it off with a punch to the lip. After that, he backed up and then walked off w/ a cut under his eye bleeding and his lip bleeding, I had a bloody nose that didnt kick in for a minute or so after but it stopped in about 5-6 minutes.

So he got me on my *** but I got up and got a few punches in and made the ***** walk off. He left w/ a bloody cut under his eye and a bloody lip and I got a bloody nose. I know this wasnt much of a fight but still, who would you say won?

(Note: thought Id stick this in here, he outweighs me by at least, realistically, 75-100 lbs)

My husband is in the Marines we are going to be stationed at Camp Pendelton CA, (we currewntly live in EL Paso TX) I want the military to move our stuff for us, He wants to do it "ourselves" cause the will reemburse us "eventually" or to hire a moving company! (the moving company wants almost $2000! wow thats alot of $$$) My husband claims that if the military moves our stuff it will take forever to get to us! Is that true?!? What do you think is better to do it ourselves (meaning By myself) or have the military move it for us?!?!? i dont know if this is relevent but all we have to move is 1 queen size bed frame and matress set, 2 toddler beds and matresses, a microwave, washer and dryer, 2 tvs a computer desk and computer and 3 lg boxes of clothers and 5 lg boxes of toys and 3 med boxes with other junk! either way I am driving up there! thanks a bunch for any advice!!!

If you had the military move your stuff how long did it take to get to you?!?!?

Are the insurgents the same every day, or do their identities change? How can the soldiers tell who is who? What a mess!
Also, who says the Iraqis want to live in a democracy; they have always lived in a theocracy. (I hope my spelling is correct there!). For America to go over there, invade their country and then try to tell them how they are going to be governed from now on is the very height of arrogance. How would we like it if another country came in here and did the same thing to us?

Ever had a LTC. or full bird walk up to you on purpose everytime and make conversation just so you'd have to stand there and yes sir him and all? Seems like this one is seeking me out all the time and trying to make his presence known. Honestly when he comes in I was under the impession that the people with him were to call the room to attention, but they never do for some reason. He's a flyer and they are more laid back so maybe that's why I guess.

i'm just curios as to some of your differnt takes on the idea of bringing home 20,000 as apposed to sending 20,000 more and saying to hell with the iraque insurgents and letting them all kill each other. hell they're going to anyway but let them do it without the cost of our men and women;brothers and sisters mothers and fathers, and sons and daughters.

Hi all. I have a old German WW2 Flamethrower given to me by a friend who inherited it and did not want it. I live in UK. I keep the thing locked up securely. It has not been decommissioned. I tested it working on private land some time ago, and it had a range of about 30ft with a mix of petrol and alcohol. I checked the law and it was not clear, as firearms are classed as firing projectiles over a certain speed. A flamethrower does not fire projectiles. Anyway, I just want to know if it is classed as a firearm or a tool and if I am allowed to have it without a license? It is not in my possession at the moment.

Communism was just a scare tactic; it was/is a fantastic form of government on paper, but doesn't work in reality. It was not and never will be a virus that spreads like we are trying to spread democracy. Terrorism is another scare tactic because terrorism itself is just the use of fear to gain one's objectives. For example, the greatest form of terrorism is war. The current administration as well as many others uses the same policy that is dictated by Fascist idealists and dictatorial idealists, alike, this is terrorism. It is why we constantly hear of attacks that may come at anytime, anywhere, by anyone. Communism was part of the same concept. If the people are cowering in fear, and the powers that be come up with ways to eliminate that which they are afraid of, then some votes will be won. Also, this is great for getting many willing to legally murder tens of thousands of people.
