Sticking fingers in a dike. With over 100,000 troops over there already, what difference will 20,000 make? Just more cannon fodder. Its not something you can just throw more troops at and assume it will get better. If anything, we should continue funding and supporting the Iraqi govt, but our military role there has outlived it's welcome and usefullness. Get our guys outta there and into Afganistan to find our real enemies (i.e.Bin Laden, remember him?).

I think it should have been done initially...now it's like putting a bandage on a bullet wound. There's not much that comes from The White House that surprises me nowadays! I just pray Baby brother Bush doesn't run in 2008! If he does may the LORD JESUS CHRIST help us all!

I feel about the same way as in the one hundred or so other times this question has been asked in this forum. I support it. We need to make at least one last effort to get the place on its feet.

I think it is long overdue. Maybe this will help to turn things around in Iraq. If things start to turn around over there, our troops will come home that much sooner.
