no. 3 Ds are not consdidered essential or necessary. In fact, they only cover one ultrasound period unelss the doctor deems it necessary to have more than one.

Tri Care is pretty tough on what they will cover. It all depends on your location.. I know of some spouses that had stuff done basically out of cosmetic and I have a tough time getting things that need to be done. You need to call your TriCare for the region you are in and ask. I would say they won't unless there is something possibly wrong with the baby and you can get a doctor to put a referal in for it.

If you have a medical condition and your doctor has to have a 3-d ultra sound than they should cover it.

tricare standard doesnt cover much
