It would be a toss up. Both have members who could kick the *** of the other. Hand-to-hand combat training only goes so far. There are other factors such as strength, speed, and agility. Navy SEAL's have more of a reputation of being badass because they are portrayed more in movies and popular culture. Both Recon and SEAL's have comprable training.

OK Curt, sounds good, and you may have a point.

Once again, a Navy SEAL would win. A better question would be between a Green Beret and Navy SEAL. Marines are great but SpecOps is not their thing.

EDIT: To the guy below me, your name is leatherneck488 so I am going to have to say you are a little biased. The Marines are big on "doing more with less" which means cheaper equipment and training. And like I said they aren't big on SpecOps since they don't want one unit to seem "more elite" than other Marines, or they would have been a member of SOCOM sooner.

But I still agree with your answer for the most part. But from what I've read from NON BIASED SOURCES(not in the Navy or Marines)SEALs are a little better. Although this doesn't necessarily mean better at hand to hand combat.

IT would NEVER happen unless it was some stupid bar fight over respect. They place would get broken up then they would all sit down and trade intel and tactics.

BOTH are just ABOVE that kind of BS when a fluke could take you out of the TEAM?
